YYP: Zhang Meng, Huang Shao Qi, and Steven Ma's Torturous Love Triangle

The novel, "When Love Becomes the Past"  《当爱已成往事》has once set off a craze online, and presently, the filming of the tv series adaptation of the said classic novel "Yuan Yang Pei" 《鸳 鸯佩》is underway in full swing at Hengdian.  The investment for Yuan Yang Pei reaches 30 million yuan; it's a joint-venture among Beijing Jetsen Times and Culture Media Ltd. Co., Guangxi TV Station, Nanning TV Station, Fuzhou TV Station and others. (北京捷成时代文化传媒有限公司出品，广西电视台、南宁电视台、福州电视台)

The main cast for YYP is impressive, not only having Zhang Meng (张檬), who gained instant popularity from her previous series, 《夏家三千金》and 《牵牛的夏天》, starring as the female lead but also include popular siu sangs Steven Ma (马浚伟) and Huang Shang Qi (黄少祺), who contend for her love in the series; the new generation 实力 idols, 马骏超、唐菱 and 阳蕾 's performances are also commendable,  plus there are the seasoned veterans including  邬倩倩、俞小凡、午马、田珉 escorting them; indeed, the cast for this tv series, YYP, can be called a "5-star luxury" level.

Despite Left Eye Injury Steven Ma Persisted Filming, Director Praises His Professionalism.

On May 20, Steven Ma while shooting a fighting scene for a mainland tv series, Yuan Yang Pei (鴛鴦佩) , in Hengdian got injured in the eye.  In the scene, he was singlehandedly fighting several martial artists when he unexpectedly got hit on the left eye with a prop hoe, the injury so painful his eye instantly teared up and shifted awry his contact lens inside his eye.  However, the on-site crew were unaware of the mishap. Meanwhile, not wanting to hinder the shooting progress, Steven, after hastily cleaning his hand with a wet wipe, dripped some eye drops into his eye to flush his contact lens, which he then removed from the eye, rinsed it with some eye solution and then put it right back on into his eye.  After a 10 minute or so break, he returned to position before the camera and was soon immersed in the scene. Later on, Director Wong Ka Fai posted a an entry on his weibo commending Steven's professionalism.

Steven expresses: "At the time, we were shooting a fighting scene. I singlehandedly had to fight with several martial artists.  In the brief chaos, one of the martial artists' prop hoe hit my left eye.  My contact lens instantly shifted awry causing the eye to tear up incessantly.  I understand it was just an accident. No one's to be blamed. Especially when shooting a fighting scene, injury is hard to avoid."

Also filming in Hengdian, former TVB actor, Steven Ma, now has much more free time on hand than before. On screen he is the eldest young master, off screen he's a fitness exercise sportsperson, daily life is routine and nourishing.  But what's important is that Steven's present income in mainland when compares to that in TVB time has increased much.

Steven Ma earlier started work at Hengdian filming his new series, Yuan Yang Pei (鴛鴦佩). Getting ready for work, he's going to film an argument scene with mainland actress, Zhang Meng (張檬) and Taiwan actor, Huang Shao Qi (黃少祺). One person portraying two roles, it can be said that Steven's makeovers are unusual. The troupe makeover designer, Bobo Ng, especially designed a watermelon shape wig for Steven to wear. Many women on site thought his look was cute, and praised him: "Ma gor not only seems to have taken a preservative pill but has also reversed his age!"

 Hope Steven doesn't let all these fulsome praises on his youthful looks get to his head, and that his feet are still firmly planted on the ground.

Steven Ma is once again back in Hengdian filming a different series, Yuan Yang Pei, in his first time portraying two characters. To give a fresh image, one of the makeovers requires him to wear a wig that had Steven deprecates self as watermelon head, whereas, the other look is more stylish. He provokes many actresses' envy, who said he has not only ingested a preservative but has also reversed his age, getting young and younger.  The troupe people even dubbed Steven as :Happy Bao Bao 「歡樂寶寶」because he loves to enliven the atmosphere making the collaborating a happy one.
