Currently Steven Ma and Bernice Liu are busy filming for their new series "Breakthrough Action". A day earlier, both of them were filming outdoor scenes at Chung Hom Kok. This scene is about them remembering their youth, at that time Bernice was 16 years old. For her appearance, she has combed two pigtails as well as wore a school uniform. Steven portrays a 20-year old university student. Steven has a crush on Bernice and meets up with her at Chung Hom Kok.
This scene required a rainy scenery, however the sun was shining. So the drama team needs to wheel out the water wagon to reproduce ‘artificial’ rain. In addition to the rain, they were also exposed to the sun, so they had a hard time. The worst was that there are many mosquitoes in these suburbs. Bernice and the drama team all became a target for the mosquitoes, but Steven didn’t have any. He was actually teased by numerous people that his flesh wasn’t sweet enough. Steven will help Bernice ease her itching as he chats with her the whole time when they don’t have to film.
Very compatible with her
He even praised Bernice’s appearance as a school girl to be very realistic, he said: “Bernice is very hard-working. She came to Hong Kong when she was still studying in Canada. Her grasp of Chinese wasn’t very good, but she will write down the pinyin pronunciations. And when she doesn’t understand, she will ask the drama team for help.†When asked whether he had a similar first love experience, he awkwardly said: “I don’t remember! It was too long ago!â€
When asked further whether he has pursued any girls in high school, whether he has been rejected by them, he said: “I have tried once. I went to an all boys’ school, so I pursued some girls from the nearby girls’ school! This time, Bernice’s appearance is very cute and real. [Aren’t you afraid that someone will be jealous when you’re openly admire her?] I don’t know who you are talking about! I didn’t pay attention to all the rumours in the entertainment circle. I don’t care about it.†Steven continues praising Bernice’s frank attitude and that he feels very compatible with her. However, he states that he is an adult, so regarding to rumours, it will not affect him

Operation Breakthrough stars shower each other w/ praises
Ron Ng, Bernice Liu, Steven Ma and veteran actor Elliot Yue (aka Ngok Wa) were filming on location earlier for new series "Operation Breakthrough", during which they all showered each other with praises about their acting talent.
For the younger cast members, working with a respected veteran actor such as Elliot was a memorable occasion and although he has not filmed a series for over ten years, his acting talent is still acute and he was right into character as soon as the cameras rolled. He was very polite and praised his junior co-stars for being very hardworking and in no way inferior to many more experienced actors. He got on particularly well with Bernice, who originates from Canada, where Elliot has been residing and Bernice was a little shocked when she found out that Elliot knew about her: "I don't know him at all, but he remembers me taking part in a beauty contest in Vancouver. I think he is very absorbed when he is acting and he is very skilful. (Is there any pressure working with your seniors?) No, I hope I can learn a lot from him and he is very amicable."
Ron was also full of praises at working with Elliot and Steven for the first time: "I remember watching Elliot in 'Looking Back in Anger' and I admire him for still being able to get straight back into acting after over ten years away. I would never have guessed how witty and humourous Steven is and after five years away from modern series, he is still as good looking!"
After receiving so much good feedback from his juniors, Elliot was asked about the fact that the last series that he filmed was with the 'Old Five Tigers', but this time after ten years, he is back filming with Ron and Kenneth Ma from the 'New Five Tigers', but he says he doesn't know. "I didn't know that TVB had 'New Five Tigers', but I have watched their series when I was in Vancouver and they are very natural. They all have great potential and work hard to get into the roles. (Are you getting used to it again after so long?) Yes, apart from the hot weather. (Will you continue filming series?) We'll see how it goes now."

TVB's new series "Operation Breakthrough" had a blessing ceremony yesterday attended by cast members including Ron Ng, Steven Ma, Kate Tsui and Shirley Yeung. Kate was shooting a rape scene earlier and accidentally injured by a door, so she was still sporting a slight bruise to her cheek yesterday. She says that producer Mui Siu Ching is very good and let her rest for two days. She adds that luckily she has got a bit of a tan, so the injury is easily covered by a little concealer. She laughs that there are not many action scenes in this series, so maybe this one can count as one.
Ron also had a part in the rape scene and in his haste to help Kate, he accidentally trapped his hand, but he laughs that thanks to Kate, he got a couple of days off. With reports that in a holding hands scene earlier, he still held onto her hand even after the cameras had stopped rolling, Ron explains that they were still filming and holding hands does not mean anything. Later, there will be a proposal scene. Ron's series "Pain of Men" reached just 28 points last week and he hopes that this will move up and he knows that the reaction has not been bad. Asked how he will help to push up the ratings, he says that if it goes above 30 points, then he will buy abalone flavoured noodles for everyone. When the press booed him for this, he laughed that he meant abalone and noodles. When the reporters suggested he should go topless, he smiled: "No!"
After paying her respects, Shirley immediately packed up some roast pig to take away. When the reporters said she was very thrifty, she says that she was taking it home to make congee and then she will feed the bones to her dogs. She feels that we should not waste food and bones are very nutritious for her dogs. When it was mentioned that she should be able to buy her second apartment with all her savings, she says: "Don't say that, I have to pay the first one off first." She says that she does not mind being called stingy because she doesn't think people think badly of her. Asked if her boyfriend loves her for being so good with money, she laughs that she doesn't know, but this is just her attitude.
Steven has been working as a Children's Ambassador in China recently, staying in Foshan for a week and shooting a special show, where he will play the Monkey King and Angela Tong will play Piggy. As Steven has been very busy at work lately, he has not had time to check his post and the bank has been chasing him for $800. He is considering hiring a secretary to deal with his personal affairs.
