Steven Ma asked for his opinion on siac ending spoof

粤夜粤娱乐 2014/4/21 11:13
Steven's response on the spoof on Ka Yeung's tough life and tough head.Steven laughs off netizens' spoofs on his tough to kill off Ka Yeung. Steven does have a good sense of humor even at his own expense. Posted Image He was not angry, rather he appreciates the netizens' creativity on their spoofs. Good for Steven, but the scriptwriter truly let the viewers down with that double hard knocks on KY's head. What was he thinking coming up with that gimmick? And then of course there is the elusive joyous return of memory hug.

Editorial: Acknowledgment of siac video creators

*My big thanks to all the video creators of SSBB who have most creatively, patiently, persistently, and skillfully (not to mention removing themselves from real life sequestered with their computers for days on end) made videos that stirred our emotions and fired up our imaginations because of their love for SIAC and SSBB and Stevia.  I can only imagine the efforts, the heart, the time and the tenacity put into their projects to create a tangible product born of their visions. Their videos are a joy to watch because of their superior editing skill, their eye for details and nuances, and of course their wonderful, personal imaginations in making their videos their very own creations.  Thank you, 北極炚 & StoryForest et al. for such precious SSBB work of art keepsakes. I  love them all. You gals are just wonderful people not to mention skillful, creative video editors .

My special thanks:
-- 北極炚 for especially edited into her 2nd video SSBB's sensual kitchen scene  because I lamented to her that her first mv video did not have it.  Thank you so very much much, 北極炚.

-- StoryForest for giving me and all BBSS fans the perfect ending to SSBB's love story.

A gift to Stevia fans: SSBB's perfect ending.

pls click on the original video on youtube to watch the video in hd quality and on full screen ( if can watch must watch on tv screen too) so as to get the full impact of Story Forest's sharp, impeccable visual and meticulous use of subtle color shades and sepia hue to successfully transport us viewers back to SSBB's love story and their timeline. There is no doubt in my mind that this video is superiorly done with much love, patience and of course, skills and creativeness.

From the very onset the music starts, my heart is engaged; from the very moment Ka Yeung turns his head, my emotions are stirred; from the very second BB smiles imploringly thru her tears, my heartstrings are tugged - thru all these my memory relive once again the past few weeks of chasing a series. This scene is the beginning of a new chapter. Four years ago Ka Yeung literally 'swung' into town and into BB's heart like a whirlwind sweeping her off her feet. He showed her a brand new world where everything was possible if only she would just open up her mind to new things. But all too soon, he was swept away this time by the raging waters - gone but never forgotten. TVB truly missed out in making SIAC a classic with its disappointing ending.

Ka Yeung is momentarily stunned as his memory readjusts to the sudden inrush of remembrances escaping  from their 4-year imprisonment locked deep within the recess of Ka Yeung's brain. Remembering it all, Ka Yeung dashes towards BB. Did he even register the little boy standing next to BB? Their joyous, tight embrace - words are redundant but BB had to say the pivotal albeit superfluous question: "Ka Yeung, you truly remember me!" And then the blinding flashback, and the song starts - all so perfectly timed as preamble to a heart-wrenching drama of past love and romance, tears and heartbreaks, of deceits and lies, of betrayal and helplessness, of life and death, of laughter and smiles, of hope and understanding, of honor and righteousness, of fortitude and strength, and most of all of Heaven's Will for reuniting their lives again in this one joyous reunion. Btw, I don't recall ever seeing the last scene of BB and SS hugging each other.  Applause!

~~Acknowledgment~~
StoryForest went beyond and above creating a mv; she gives me and SSBB fans the perfect SSBB ending - much needed closure to Stevia fans. I'm so teary-eyed moved for such a gesture of kindness. The tedious repetitive cutting and pasting of minute scene for just that perfect story sequences, and the timing precision of matching each and every minute scene to the song and the lyrics, and the putting of words in SS's and BB's mouths' to evoke the proper lines; the painstaking effort and saintly patience expended can only be imagined. Thank you so very much, StoryForest. Also thank you for your mention of me on your youtube blurb.Your present is a wonderful conclusion to my wonder Easter break.

Heaven's Will modern day mv

I guess this mv is a standalone mv for the song only, not especially shot for the series. I had such high hopes for this mv, and watching it now I'm really disappointed by it.

Scoop March 20 2014

Mar 19/2014
Steven Ma has a chronic heart condition and needs to carry his medicine with him at all times for emergency use.  Yesterday (3/18), he was sighted at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital accompanied by a woman. After he was hospitalized he returned this reporter's text messages explaining his health condition. He said he suddenly felt dizzy and that his blood pressure went off the chart so he went to the hospital for a check-up. And his blood pressure shot up to 180 when the nurse checked it.  The doctor hospitalized him for observation as he was worried Steven might be having a stroke.

3/20 & 3/21  Last night in the hospital, Steven underwent a battery of tests including CT-scan, EKG, MRI, blood and urine tests to diagnose his malaise thus he did not get much sleep at all. Despite the numerous tests taken, the attending doctor still could not diagnose the exact root cause of Steven's ailment. Because of his hospitalization, Steven had to cancel his plans to attend Fala Chen's studio recording of her part for their duet in the same evening, and also his scheduled TVB《勁歌金曲》recording session for the next day (3/19).  However, he confirmed he would attend the scheduled SIAC bus tour promotion on 3/20/2014.  Despite his worrisome health condition he would fly to US on March 21 as planned to hold his scheduled sold out 2-show concert.  Only when back from his US concert would he visit his family doctor for a more thorough examination. He actually thought he was having a stroke at the time, and was scared because he did not want to become a burden to his family. He revealed he drank  5 cups of black coffee daily and the doctor warned him that was like committing a slow suicide, so after this scare he had decided to quit drinking coffee altogether.

transcript from TVB ET news: S
Steven: Actually at that time in the afternoon, I was doing an interview, very happy talking about cooking and stuff, and in the evening would go to a recording session (tn: Probably to attend Fala's recording of their duet- Steven had already recorded his part way back when Fala was still in the US. Steven also canceled his JSG's recording session scheduled for the next day 3/19) so in between I decided to go home to rest but when crossing the tunnel, as you know the lights there are very bright and strong, when suddenly my vision became blurry so I closed my eyes, and 'yee?!' A bit dizzy, suddenly felt the backside of my brain turgid with surging blood, and there's this tingling on backside of my neck and head. Wah! sei lo! Suddenly felt like I was going to die. (reporter: choi!) Really, that's the truth! (R: What happened next? Went to the hospital?) Because my house is closer to QE (tn: Queen Elizabeth hospital), so immediately we, my manager and I, went to QE emergency. (R: Allegedly your high blood pressure was very high?) Yes, very. Very scary! The minute I sat down they checked my blood pressure, and its reading was like 180 over 130. My systolic normally is around 130 (R: Did you think of stuff you had not done yet? like marriage?) At the time I thought of...actually I'm not scared of death per se (Which woman flashed through your mind first?) My mother lo.

Scoops news on Siac

From this recent Scoop news, am sure Ka Hin is not Hau Yee's killer. The identity of her killer will be revealed this week thus ending her storyline and starting a new storyline for the 2nd half of the series. I suspect the next storyline is the fight for the ownership of Wing Tai Lung, first with the brothers against 2nd uncle, then brother against brother.

The probability of Ka Sing causing Hau Yee's death is pretty high right now. Whoever is the 'killer', I hope the script on the incident is ingenious and makes perfect sense. Not the usual TVB's think-audiences-are-stupid, mind-stretching revelation for shock effect.

Updated with news report video - 3/10/2014
Poor Steven putting his energy in singing the themesong well but his cast mates just did their own thing taking selfies, I guess on purpose to tease him. But still their behavior spoiled the whole singing performance for those in the audience who actually wanted to listen to Steven's live singing. (My intial feeling after watching 2 short video uploads, and before watching the below extended video, which was uploaded much later on youtube.)

eta: But after watching the extended video below, I've changed my mind. The group selfie when seen in its entirety was actually quite funny. lol! And Steven was so game too, and played along with their prank on him - their tease did show their easy camaraderie. lol! Anyway, kudos to Steven for singing so well despite the distraction.
