eta song links: Notice: Steven's upcoming HK concert

Below is Steven's song list with song links.  No details and/or date as yet of said concert at this time.

I am totally baffled by his song list - only one song (憐憫我) from his numerous albums is on the list, and none composed by him.  How come? Didn't he say the main reason for releasing his Cherish albums is so that he can sing original new songs in his concert? What's changed? A pity since he has so many good songs from his numerous albums that his fans truly cherish. (with cds selling on ebay as much as US$87) Not that I can attend this concert, but if I do, I would much rather listen to a mixture of his original songs, theme songs, and cover songs. Imho, there are too many cover songs and not enough of his own songs (theme songs don't count) on the list - he is after all a bono fide singer in his own right with 16 albums so why neglect them?  As fan of his albums, his dismissal of his own songs truly saddens me.

On a different level, I think most music composers and lyricists would hesitate to compose songs for someone who won't deign to even sing their songs in his own concert. Unless covering popular oldies is a requisite set by sponsors or partner (x樂樂) for the concert (or that the concert theme is nostalgia), I think Steven is missing out on a good opportunity to familiarize if not promote his own songs as treat to his fans in the audience. Just saying! This upcoming concert is a "SM doing cover songs concert" instead of a "Steven Ma concert".  Am I being too harsh?

Notice: Yuan Yang Pei's satellite broadcast

eta: Starting August 21 2015 (Friday) Yuan Yang Pei will be airing concurrently on two mainland satellite tv stations nationwide with 2 episodes nightly at 19:35 & 20:27

1) Guangxi Satellite TV Station (广西卫视)
2) Jiangxi Satellite TV Station (江西衛視)

Finally, Yuan Yang Pei (鸳鸯佩) is confirmed to air on a satellite tv station in mainland, in this case, Guangxi satellite tv station (广西卫视) on 8/21 at 7:30 pm, 2 episodes daily. Edited: Though Guanxi Stellite TV Station is not among the China's top 10 most popular tv stations, I'm nevertheless very grateful for the opportunity given YYP to finally "上星" (satellite). Here's to high ratings for YYP and critical acclaim for Steven's great acting! source.

So annoyed by unsightly ads incessantly invading his old instagram account, Steven deleted the said 'infested' account. A pity to all those uploaded photos and comments, not to mention, wasted time and effort.

Anyway,he has subsequently opened a new account (machunwai_steven) with private setting. If interested to follow him, send him a request. He says he will accept all requests so long they are not from advertisers. weibo

Photos show Steven's flip sides.

above images sourced from weibo - show off his mini lantern

I really enjoyed watching this show.  Even though it's over an hour long, the time passed rather quickly and easily with much laughter.  That being said, I prefer the old format of having artists from different generations as guests rather than the presence format of guests versus resident guests/hosts. I guess the generation placement proved to be too much of a hassle? Comparing his previous Generation Show to this one, Steven definitely looks better fair (more youthful looking) than the present overly tan (leathery) complexion. As his intro, Steven is praised for being a tvb series rating general, wah! how gratifying is that?  I didn't know who William Chan was before this show but I'm impressed by his performance here, Steven's was great too.  And  鸥哥赵屹鸥 is such a great host. However, I couldn't believe how Lee Xiang as a hostess could be so crass as to bash TVB on tv, thank goodness for Steven's gracious response to deflect that pitfall to bad mouth his old employer. And poor 2011 MHK Rebecca Chu for being dragged into it.  Love the "show and tell" segment whereby the actors/actresses showed off the  'necessities' they brought with them during filming. Guess Steven's "must have treasures".

Note: Gotta give it to Steven for having the most 'childish' possession on hand. Actually he had already talked about these treasures of his on weibo years ago.
