Steven Ma has been invited to participate in the 《清遠、連南、三排瑤寨》campaign for the poor. Earlier, he visited Nanshan District (a 6-hour drive from Hong Kong Shenzhen City in Guangdong) where he attended the end-of-school year ceremony. Due to the area's barren landscape, its economic development is lagging and poor, therefore, unable to meet the students' educational needs. Fortunately in the earlier years, funds were allocated to renovate its only mountain school. Steven has thoughtfully brought along with him numerous copies of dictionaries to reward the outstanding students.

Ma Zai expresses that he admires the indomitable spirit of the students and their family in their struggles for education. Though life is tough but their spirits are strong. Ma Zai also brought along his beloved camera in this rare opportunity to capture the scenery and customs of Yao Zai (瑤寨), and most of all, the kids’ resolute spirit and faces. He says: "This is a very meaningful photographic trip. It gives me a deeper awareness towards life and education."

Even though it was only a 2-day trip, but per Ma Zai's request, the local leaders prearranged badminton matches for him to play against the local skilled badminton players. (lol!)

东方网7月11日消息：据香港媒体报道，香港艺人马浚伟应香港大埔陈灶良区议员办事处邀请，参与大埔七约乡公所“清远、连南、三排瑶寨”扶贫助学活动，以扶贫及亲善大使身份，于七月八及九日往连南山区探访。此行他看到当时小学生赤脚步行几小时上学，大赞他们的上进精神，又对比香港当地学生滥药情况，感慨良多。

　　马浚伟说：“由香港到三排镇，要乘上六小时车，沿途经过的路颠簸不已，行程好辛苦，但是，怎样苦也不及小朋友们，为了求学，不少人赤足步行几小时，只为了争取读书的机会。”马浚伟买备了多套字典，送给该校的优秀学生。“我非常欣赏学生及学生家长的争取读书精神。他们生活虽贫困，但精神生活很丰足，全不以贫穷为耻，努力求上进，努力读书。”近日香港的新一代不能找到生命目标，滥药情况甚为严重，看到山区小朋友生活艰苦，仍然自强不息，马浚伟在此行中感受良多。

　　到瑶族访贫，机会不容易有，马浚伟带备他最心爱的宝贝(摄影机)，沿途拍下不少瑶寨风情。另当地领导应马仔要求，代他约一众羽毛球好手打了一场羽毛球。马浚伟欣赏瑶寨“篝火晚会”歌舞时，被一众瑶寨美少女包围拍照。
