At the time of this mv shoot,  Steven was so overwhelmed by ugly rumors  over his and Sonija scandal that he insisted on making it without a female feature.  But ironically, he still could not escape the rumor mill's long reach, this time around he was rumored with an older lady, the female director shooting the mv, no less. lol! Steven sang this song with so much feelings. He sounded so vulnerable and hurt when singing it.  Undoubtedly, his scandal wtih Sonija inspired the lyrics.

Steven says: "At first the lyrics were written by 谢佩珊, but I read this line: Human’s deepest sorrow has to be when love is wantonly defiled『人 最悲悲不过情爱，给糟蹋亏待』I was deeply moved. It is true that when a relationship is hurt, it is truly painful, so I added in some of my own feelings to the lyrics to come up with this song."

香港文汇报报道，马浚伟的最新专辑将于十一月推出，日前他专程走到石澳拍摄为第二首主 打歌《糟蹋》拍MV。这首歌马浚伟也有份填词，问到马仔为何有兴趣填词？他坦言：“这首歌原本是由谢佩珊填词，看过对 方的歌词中有一句：『人最悲悲不过情爱，给糟蹋亏待』，被深深感动，原来人感情受到伤害，真的可以好痛，所以在歌中加 入了一点自己的感觉，因而成了这首歌。”

为了拍摄这个MV，马仔来了一个血泪齐来。事缘，导演要马仔拍摄一个沉思镜头，马仔一时感触，实时双眼通红， 差点流下眼泪来，可能马仔表现得太过激动，加上天气干燥的关系，所以就连鼻血也流了出来，工作人员实时为马仔止血，这 首歌认真有血有泪！
