Steven was asked his thoughts on Evergreen’s a male lead as replacement for Moses.
Steven: He’s always a lead in my heart.
Interviewer: Happy for him?
Steven: Recall last year when he got the best supporting actor, I jumped for joy. And he shook everybody’s hands and hugged everybody but me. He realized that too. When he got home, after scolded by his wife – see Ma Zai supported you so much and you wouldn’t even give him one hug. Just me by myself yelling: “ Yay, Mak Bao hou yeh, but nobody hugged me.
Interviewer: Mak Bao, he’s complaining about you now.
Steven: this is what’s called “Hin Dai” (brothers)
Mak Bao: **&&(* (can’t decipher what he says)
Steven: Between brothers no need for words. All in the heart.
Mak Bao (Evergreen) reveals that he has been exposed to all kinds of cooking since young, and that at 6 years old, he already took up the scapula to stir fry the wok. When asked if he dares to eat Mak Bao’s cooking, this is what he says:
Steven: Frankly, if the food is by 2nd Brother, no matter what he did, the first words that come out of my mouth would be: “Mmm, delicious!
Reporter: Delicious!
Steven: That’s how it is as good brothers.
Reporter: That’s what’s called ‘hard’ support
Steven: “Hard’ support or obvious support, how else? As brothers, that’s how it is.
Reporter: Steven is sure a good brother. What is he going to cook today?
Steven: Because today is a special edition for the new Apprentice Chef 2. So in this special edition, I’ve invited many renowned master chefs, epicureans and artist friends, including Shallin Tse Lin jie jie, May jie (Fung Mui Gei), Ricky San, Jacky Yu, Chi gor, Ngok Wah gor, Lui San (Suzanne Lui), Bao Bao (Evergreen) . Actually, it’s me cooking for them. Furthermore, I’ll cook 4 dishes.
Reporter: Wow! Incredible! (sai lei)
Steven: Even though it is a recording, and has time to halt but can’t do NGs because the prepared ingredients basically are readied for just one time use. If failed, then failure, can’t help it. Because regardless whether I did well or not, today’s invited master epicureans will not hold back their critiques.
