In a split second, a phone call changed the lives of 3 persons; it wasn't fate it was Yat Bo who made that call. (pun intended) Yat Bo can be consoled by the fact that fate didn't play them, but that he took fate into his own hands to at least stop Twinkle's torments, if not give her happiness. At my first viewing of the ending, that long shot of the huddled Yat Bo broke my heart. I saw him as a tragic figure, and cried buckets. But now I see the ending shot differently. I now notice his little smiles and body language, ever so slightly in variance yet so big in meaning -- there're the sad, the indulgent, acceptance, the helpless smiles and there's the serene smiles all beautifully displayed within just a span of seconds. Yat Bo's huddled back doesn't look so pitiful anymore although still lonesome and forlorn, but there is that little bit of courage and optimism in that things will get better because Yat Bo made it so as he bravely took matter into his own hands, that whether his decision is right or wrong he is master of his own destiny. And that the sun will rise after an endless night like it does now, and that he, Yat Bo, alone will decide whether it will a good day or bad.
Since Steven fans lamented they couldn't understand English and reviews are written to be shared with readers, I summarily rewrote the essays in elementary Chinese.

虽然我早就知道结局,可是看到宝孤独的影像一样看的很伤心。觉得宝是个悲剧的人物。可是现在改变看法。重看, 我注意到在这短短时间他各种的微笑和肢体语言。笑容有伤心的，接受的，欣慰的, 有无奈 还有平静,放开的。

Steven did an excellent job bringing Chee Yat Bo to life. The last few minutes of his performance were brilliant especially his smiles from happy to sad to acceptance. It is the minute details that differentiate a heart gripping performance from a good performance. The audience was drawn into Yat Bo's sadness.
