Sentinel episode 9

I like Steven's performances especially in the above scene: defiant, exhausted and in pain but still manages to project a very dangerous person.  Like a caged hurt tiger in captivity, it will be your death sentence if he ever got freed.  Like he says: If you can't kill me, you will die for sure.  Anticipating him turning ruthless.

  1. Episode 9 was definitely suspenseful -- all of the guys put in great performances, especially Steven during the torture scene...his facial expressions were right on the money!

Seeing all the things that happen in the Sentinel camp and then to find out at the end that Kenneth's character was behind it all (and we get to see how the plan was carried out) was very interesting and definitely kept me hooked.

Good storyline and acting from the guys so far!

My only suggestion at this point would be to cut out most of the inner palace / concubine fighting scenes and focus primarily on the story surrounding Steven, Kenneth, and the Sentinel camp (and of course, their respective background stories). I actually started to get bored with episodes 6 and 7 because there was way too much focus on the palace women in those eps -- to be honest, I'm sick and tired of watching the inner palace concubine infighting type series (TVB has made way too many of them these past couple of years), so that's why I found most of those scenes boring. One of the reasons why I was looking forward to Sentinel was because I thought that it's focus was going to be on the males and inheritance of the Imperial throne rather than the palace women -- and with the excellent first episode, I'm hoping TVB doesn't ruin the series by veering too much off track...
