weibo 2015 june - bible verse

6月15日 10:07 不可使慈愛誠實離開你,要繫在你頸項上、刻在你心版上 ~ 箴言3:3 Hallelujah! NIV proverb 3.3: Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

My 1st bible was King James version with its Thees & Thys & Thous, but I later switched to the more accessible New International Version (NIV).  So for all Steven's bible quotes/verses translation, I will be using  the NIV's.  Anyway, here's the link to the above verse in various bible versions.

How would you caption Steven's photo in relation to the bible verse?  Mine is "Tender Love" as depicted by the tenderness in his eyes and the gentleness in his smile as if gazing affectionately at someone or something.  Or it could be that per KJ Shi's opinion, Steven is basking serenely in Our Lord's love and mercy bestowed upon him.  Either way, good that he has finally found peace within himself, having exorcised his demons of guilt and regrets of past.

  1. I would caption it “Faith in Love” -- which can be interpreted and applied in different ways depending on one’s situation. Interpreting ‘faith’ in the context of ‘belief’ or ‘trust’, it means trusting in the power of God’s love to heal and restore hope. Relating this to Steven, it represents him having found peace through his strong faith as well as complete acceptance of God’s love and mercy. :-)

P.S.: In terms of Bible versions, it has always been NIV for me as it's close enough to the original language / meaning without sounding so 'technical' and 'ancient' (tried King James version one time, but it was way too draining). Occasionally I like to compare against the NLT version out of curiosity (and to get a good chuckle every once in awhile at the overly 'modern' translation of some verses), but overall, that version is way too modern for my liking....

    1. I really, really like your "Faith in Love" caption in relation to Steven's accompanying bible verse. Haha! NLT is way too modern for my taste too.
