Notice: Yuan Yang Pei's satellite broadcast

eta: Starting August 21 2015 (Friday) Yuan Yang Pei will be airing concurrently on two mainland satellite tv stations nationwide with 2 episodes nightly at 19:35 & 20:27

 1) Guangxi Satellite TV Station (广西卫视) 
2) Jiangxi Satellite TV Station (江西衛視) 


Finally, Yuan Yang Pei (鸳鸯佩) is confirmed to air on a satellite tv station in mainland, in this case, Guangxi satellite tv station (广西卫视) on 8/21 at 7:30 pm, 2 episodes daily. Since its first tv broadcast two years ago, the series has only been aired on local tv stations. Unlike local stations with its limited audience, satellite tv stations have a nationwide network. Edited: Though Guanxi Stellite TV Station is not among the China's top 10 most popular tv stations, I'm nevertheless very grateful for the opportunity given YYP to finally "上星" (satellite). Here's to high ratings for YYP and critical acclaim for Steven's great acting! source.

      haha! Though the storyline is indeed very cliche Chiung Yao style, nevertheless I did enjoy the drama overall despite its plot. I thought the 2 main actresses and Steven did really well in their respective roles. Moreover Yong En's delicate looks and slim built (小鳥依人) matches well with Steven's own refined looks. Except for Lai Fu's dubbing (a bit too deliberate) the dubbing for the 2 female leads and male leads is pretty good. Also, I love the both the theme and closing songs.

      张蒙 is okay but not the one acting as Yi Lan. She looks so old for Steven, like his auntie, not even a elder sister. What's more her acting sucks. Am sure China has a lot of other younger looking and talented female actresses who possess more potential than this old hat? I find her presence here ( l happened to chance upon a scene of her with Steven in youtube, did not watch the entire series) really irritating.

      That Yilan actress is more suitable to play either mistress or mama-san roles.

      Haha..Irene, to put any other actress better than Tang ling in casting Yilan would have outshined the main female lead Zhang Meng because the ZM is not very outstanding in her acting. She is just lucky to act as Yong En where audience pity her n dislike Yilan. In fact, taking a closer look, TL's performance is better though i dont Yilan character. This is my personal observation.

      I too think TL (Yilan) acted better than Zhang Meng (Yong En) in this series, but ZM's appearance totally fits her character (in the novel).

      Actually I like female artistes casting opp Steven to be around 1.65m in height hahahah, very personal preference, as you said 小鳥依人

    Though not the top 10 most popular tv station, still glad that more people will get to know Steven n to appreciate his acting skill.

    Oh! I finally found out how Lai Fu was killrd through a flashback scene narrated by one of the restaurant's worker Ma Kuan to Tang Ting Xuan in episode 24. I didn't watch the entire series but only from 6 - 10 where Lai Fu appeared.

    來福死得好惨噢! 被捅了一刀,還要被乱昆朴到吐血而死。惨不忍睹。看了心很不舒服。感觉就像看了劉松仁在《大时代》里被郑少秋活活打死一样。
