NOTICE: Steven Ma baidu 10/26 birthday magazine in progress

SM baidu 【清浚出尘】〖通知〗1026庆生特刊 素材征集！希望大家积极; (sm weibo) cordially requests fan contributions for its SM 10/26 birthday magazine special issue. The dateline for submission is October 7 2014 but can be extended for extenuating circumstances.  Fans can choose to either submit materials on steven ma baidu forum (must be registered) or on steven ma baidu weibo.  The magazine committee is currently seeking image editors and copy-editors for this birthday project.

Note: To post on sm baidu, prefix each post with 【清浚出尘】〖庆生〗and tag  @浚在我心 . (Just copy and paste the 2 prefixes, and the name tag) 

Materials include but not limited to the following:

The Generation Show 2014/9/27 recap

Host, Ou Ge, welcomes everybody to the live recording of the show. He, however, disagrees with the public announcer's introduction of him as the most gossipy host (bagua) in the Chinese entertainment circle.  He says he can't even get in line for that title because as of this time at this very place the 'gossipiest' hosts are all gathered right there - points at his four junior hosts - Li Xiang, Lian Lian, Yu Sha Sha and Ma Xue Yang.  Applause!

Li Xiang frankly admits she especially loves reading the daily gossipy tabloids. Ou Ge reveals that Li Xiang's daughter, Angela, is currently filming a tv series in Hong Kong as a PA (production assistant).  Ou Ge then turns his attention to Ma Xue Yang, who reveals that he is currently filming a new drama with co-host, Sha Sha.  A still of their scene is shown on screen, Ou Ge asks if he (Ma) is filming a drama with Sha Sha or is he in fact being molested by her.  (Pun on xi) Lian Lian interjects he avenged Ma when he later mugged Sha Sha with a knife to her throat - "I just want money, not life - give me your money!".  Lian Lian, the mugger, is disgusted to find just 16 yuan inside his victim's empty handbag. He disgustedly berates her for being penniless, and just as he walks away the hitherto terrified victim unexpectedly yells at him, stopping him in his track. "Who say I have no money? Who say?"  She indignantly takes out the money from various hiding places on her body, her shoes, her hat and her wig, and angrily throws the money at the mugger. In your face!! No money? Me? The scene brings a whole new meaning to indignant Pride cuts off nose to spite the face. Dare to call me poor, eh??  lol! And so abnormal the victim's reaction that the mugger flees in fright! That was such a brilliant hilarious intro to start off the show! haha!

Sha Sha is assigned to play hostess to the celebrity guests so for this episode it is Team Sha Sha, Ye Qing, Steven Ma and William Chan vs Team Lian Lian, Li Xian and Ma Xue Yang. Now viewed as "traitor",  Sha Sha's ex teammates deliberately 'blacken' her name: Though quick to seize question to answer, her brain is unfortunately not as quick, furthermore, she is quick with her mouth too. But Ye Qing is not scared off.  Next, the introduction of the male guests: Steven Ma, William Chan.

I really enjoyed watching this show.  Even though it's over an hour long, the time passed rather quickly and easily with much laughter.  That being said, I prefer the old format of having artists from different generations as guests rather than the presence format of guests versus resident guests/hosts. I guess the generation placement proved to be too much of a hassle? Comparing his previous Generation Show to this one, Steven definitely looks better fair (more youthful looking) than the present overly tan (leathery) complexion. As his intro, Steven is praised for being a tvb series rating general, wah! how gratifying is that?  I didn't know who William Chan was before this show but I'm impressed by his performance here, Steven's was great too.  And  鸥哥赵屹鸥 is such a great host. However, I couldn't believe how Lee Xiang as a hostess could be so crass as to bash TVB on tv, thank goodness for Steven's gracious response to deflect that pitfall to bad mouth his old employer. And poor 2011 MHK Rebecca Chu for being dragged into it.  Love the "show and tell" segment whereby the actors/actresses showed off the  'necessities' they brought with them during filming. Guess Steven's "must have treasures".

Spoiler/Review: So laughable that a 'tailor' actually won a fashion designing championship over fellow fashion designers. Where were the creativity and fashion style so integral in a fashion show in his work of similar qi pao - just how many creative ways can you style a qi pao?  Though not my fashion style but at least the other fashion designers' clothes were more creative than a line of qi paos. My negativity has nothing to do with Steven's picks being out early in the show but rather with the uninspired fashion, the humdrum stage setup, the dull atmosphere of the show, also, the redundant professionals' commentary segment made this an hour and half show way too long. Furthermore, the identities of this winner and that of the next two episodes' winners have already been exposed along with their photos on weibo the same day of their competition way back in August, so, even that little suspense was gone for me. Truth be told, if not for Steven's involvement I would have skipped this 1st episode and the whole show itself - it's premise and execution are just not my cup of tea. Whereas Steven's Apprentice Chef 2's atmosphere crackled with judges' chemistry, heightened excitement and suspense thru use of music and lighting, this 技行天下's 1st episode fell flat. Hopefully, the 2nd episode is better .

Also, considering the brevity of Steven's screen time, hope this prolonged project of him is truly worth his effort, energy and time put into those past few months since July.  For myself, I would much rather he spent those past three months filming a tv drama series or holding a concert tour in mainland.

Sep 10 2014 Apparently, Steven and partner visited the Guangzhou Trade and Industry School on the 1st day of its back-to-school open ceremony to observe its cooling elements/systems vocational program for his 5th project.

note: The volume of students in the school is just mind boggling.
