On February 14 2015, celebrity charity volunteer, Steven Ma, participated in the "2015 Lunar New Year Conveying Peace Activity" (2015 新春傳送平安大行動), an event jointly organized by the Fulam Group and the Senior Citizen Home Safety Association (schsa) . Steven together with 100+ energetic volunteers visited nearly 200「平安鐘®」(Personal Emergency Link) elderly users at the Pak Tin Estate in Sham Shui Po, bringing New Year's greetings of peace and joy to the latter.
Steven grew up in Pak Tin Estate at Shum Shui Pu so on this particular Valentine's Day he was especially nostalgic strolling down memory lane as he revisited the places of his childhood. Besides reminiscing the good times, he also gave out gift packages and delicious new year cakes to the elderly, enjoying this warm and meaningful Valentine's Day. Steven chose the almost 91years old uncle Li for a chat. He regaled uncle Li with interesting anecdotes of his childhood in Pak Tin Estate, bringing smiles to the latter's face. Steven also tested the 「平安鐘®」device on site.
The compassionate Steven expresses: "During festivals, the elderly who live alone, or in poor health or without family support feel especially lonely during these times. I hope we all besides enjoying ourselves also remember to take care of the elderly around us and comfort them, so that our holidays and theirs are spent even more meaningful."
