At a friend's birthday party
Steven celebrating Peter Tsang's (Tsang Kwok-Keung 曾國強?) birthday with a group of friends including Tai Wan Wai, Mrs. Wan (her mother) and 戴辛尉 Wancy (her sister) . link Incidentally, ever since his participation in her internet cooking show 2014 August as her 1st guest, Steven seems to get together quite a bit with 戴蘊慧, along with her mother and sister in tow no less, and her group of friends. (as documented by the copious pix uploaded on 戴蘊慧 weibo) Don't recognize her son so not sure if any of her sons was also there too or not . Interesting, no?

The days of CNY feasting
Looks like besides celebrating the new year with family, Steven has also been doing the obligatory eat, drink and make merry get-togethers with friends, too.

2/14/2015 SM Leads the 2015 Lunar New Year Goodwill Activity
On February 14 2015, celebrity charity volunteer, Steven Ma, participated in the "2015 Lunar New Year Conveying Peace Activity" (2015 新春傳送平安大行動), an event jointly organized by the Fulam Group and the Senior Citizen Home Safety Association (schsa) . Steven together with 100+ energetic volunteers visited nearly 200「平安鐘®」(Personal Emergency Link) elderly users at the Pak Tin Estate in Sham Shui Po, bringing New Year's greetings of peace and joy to the latter.
Steven grew up in Pak Tin Estate at Shum Shui Pu so on this particular Valentine's Day he was especially nostalgic strolling down memory lane as he revisited the places of his childhood. Besides reminiscing the good times, he also gave out gift packages and delicious new year cakes to the elderly, enjoying this warm and meaningful Valentine's Day. Steven chose the almost 91years old uncle Li for a chat. He regaled uncle Li with interesting anecdotes of his childhood in Pak Tin Estate, bringing smiles to the latter's face. Steven also tested the 「平安鐘®」device on site.
The compassionate Steven expresses: "During festivals, the elderly who live alone, or in poor health or without family support feel especially lonely during these times. I hope we all besides enjoying ourselves also remember to take care of the elderly around us and comfort them, so that our holidays and theirs are spent even more meaningful."

On the same day, Feb 14 2015, Steven had dim sum with Tai Wan Wai, and her mother, the widow of his late singing teacher, Tai Si Chung (戴思聪) the renowned 'godfather of Hong Kong music industry'..

News Feb12/2015Steven Ma will be home alone on Valentine's Day

Steven with Cally Kwong (鄺美雲), Paula Tsui (徐小鳯) , Elvina Kong (江欣燕), Tai Wan Wai (戴蘊慧) and Leila Chow (周美鳯) et al attended an auction fundraising charity event for the blind and deaf (立善迎羊建彩眼慈善晚宴) held in Sai Wan on Feb 12 2015 @ 7 pm. Steven was there as a mere guest at the invitation of the event organizer, Tai Wan Wan戴蘊慧. Steven said he would be spending Valentine's Day home alone. Mrs. Alice Chiu (趙曾學韞), Cady Lam, Adky Wen Ying Hong (he did the cooking too), also attended.

Indeed, Steven's reaction is strange. Fine, so he didn't want to get into personal stuff, just said it composedly without acting all flustered, so much so he even ended the interview abruptly and yes, awkwardly with "rah rah rah". Awkward and weird! Usually he's quite smooth at fielding this kind of trite, intrusive questions (at his age and being a seasoned veteran celeb that he is) so why this uncharacteristic awkwardness and fluster? It's not like he didn't anticipate the question given that VD is just round the corner. Maybe he is planning to surprise his unsuspecting gf on that day hence his reticence?
Also check out his awkward laugh and fidgety body language on.cc video when asked the same VD's plans question. Awkwardness galore. Seeing his reaction thus, fans should just stop pressing him to get married or start a family soon, let him be.
