Collection of Steven's sayings

Many weibo and baidu fans and netizens have commented on how much Steven's sayings and introspective words have helped them to see things in a different perspective, lifted up their spirit when down, and  encouraged and inspired them when despair. I hope Steven knows that. I'll continue to compile his encouraging words and maxims under this category. Look them up when you are in need of some encouraging words to get you through the day or week, or to see things differently. I know I will keep them handy.  Some of the sayings are included for 'just because' . And Steven often accompanied his words with fitting images, an indication of his artistic and poetic nature.

TN: Like his Little Piggies, I too thought Steven had disabled the PM function because he did announce to his piggies that he would when he first started weiboing.  Guess during weibo restructuring that function must have been enabled again. I, myself, would never pm him or any celebrity, for that matter, but those who did were disconcerted by his rebuke, each thinking he meant them.  Usually Steven was very tactful with his words so wonder what had prompted his bluntness here?  Did he receive hate mails or indecent proposals or batches of automated ads? lol! Anyway, I'm with the those who think Steven's rebuke is for the automated batch advertisers, obsessive fans or haters, definitely not his piggies who may have pm him occasionally.

Wah! The audience was big!  Happy for Steven to have such a good turnout but sorry to see that the audience were mostly the elderly, guess the younger generation is just not into cooking show.  Finally, tvb is willing to spend money on a variety show.  Although different from the 1st season where Steven is the undisputed focus, the focus now has shifted to the contestants, it was still entertaining to watch.  However, I like the first premise more because it centered on Steven's cooking ability but now he is more of a bystander hosting a cooking competition show.  I missed the previous intimate interaction of Steven with his viewers as he demonstrated how fun cooking can be.

That being said, the whole feel of the show was grander and imposing.  And with the huge audience gave it an importance and presence.  Will have to see how the latter episodes go.

Anyway, Steven looks absolutely, positively scrumptiously delicious to my eyes.  Very handsome!

5/ 27  23:17 Reporter friends have misunderstood!  In last night's interview, I said since 2006 in the Daily News column and later in my prose essay book (tn:圖文並謬), I had already mentioned that many of my friends thought that I was a Buddhist because my late mother loved Guan Yin (tn: Goddess of Mercy) but at that time, I actually did not have any religious belief until a few years ago when I started attending church occasionally or played badminton with church friends.  But that I have not yet to be baptized!  However, last night's interview was truly rushed so maybe there was some miscommunication between the speaker and listeners! Thank you! 

Haiz, so tiring to be celebrities.  First, has to be careful with words when speaking to anybody, because these words may snowball into something entirely different which may later re-surface to hound them.  Second, their words are intentionally twisted and taken out of context to cast a negative light on them. Third, to prevent misunderstanding has to clarify their former words so as to curb rumors and negative press.

Tiring, very tiring.

20mins ago  During Thunder's mv shoot, there was an action shot, which I should be able to handle, but when doing the "phoenix fingers' I felt suddenly faint!  Turn out that I still did not have my lunch, so the sugar level dropped drastically. Fortunately my colleague immediately bought me some sweets, else would have fainted, then that would be truly embarrassing.  Heehee! P.S. Foshan friends, see you tomorrow!

Steven responding to a fan's weibo. Wonder what Steven did to make them so happy? Ok, know why. The weiboans attended Steven's Apprentice Chef  5/24 promotion as live audience.   Haha! If fans want their weibo reposted they should call themselves a steven ma fan site/club weibo.  So maybe to get Steven's notice I should open a Steven Ma English fansite weibo account, no?

On a site note, Apprentice Chef episodes are recorded with a live audience.  I guess so that chef contestants' family and supporters and Steven fans can bring excitement to AC.

5/22 09:56  Went to a la-min (pull noodles) shop to learn the authentic technique of making Lan Zau la-min from Lau Sifu.  (teacher Lau)  Just with 2 or 3 strokes and Lau Sifu was done, it was awesome like a performance.  Incredible!

到拉麵店跟來自蘭州的劉師傅學習正宗「蘭州拉麵」。看劉師傅三兩下就完成，像表演般精彩，厲害！

521 23:28  : Finished the 2nd day of taking pictures for the new book.  At night had dinner with 3 good friends.  Food and drinks were very delicious notwithstanding, everybody had fun discussing all kinds of topics.  Truly most satisfyingly delightful!  Friends, remember to meet each challenge with optimism and an open mind!
