The Amazing Pleasant Goat 7th movie screened today (1-31-2015) in theaters nationwide on the mainland but it will screen in HK theaters on 2-19-2015 to coincide with the 1st day of the Lunar New Year. Steven sang the theme song in Mandarin and Cantonese, and also dubbed the Cantonese version for Big Grey/Bad Wolf.

Note: Steven is a fan of the cartoon, so, good for him for dubbing the Big Bad/Grey Wolf. Incidentally, the creator of this popular cartoon and its characters is none other than the male judge in the animation (last/6th) episode of Steven's reality show「技行天下」. Indeed, timing and networking are paramount in securing work in any occupation.

2015 news: Steven opens new IStudy branch

Two years ago Steven and his sisters opened a tuition center, I-Study Learning Center, in the Tai Wai district in New Territories, and to accommodate it growing numbers of 400 over students and 20 teachers, they opened a branch in Fotan. On January 24 2015 Steven as the chancellor officiated the ribbon cutting ceremony of the branch grand opening. The Fotan building space is much bigger than the main center so can accommodate more students, who are mostly from international schools. While his older sister, younger sister (Fiona) and niece run and manage the center, as the chancellor, Steven takes upon himself to market the center. The center has plans to open branches in Shenzhen, Guangzhou and other mainland cities, as its goal is to penetrate the mainland market itself.

Note: All I can say about this news is that thank heavens Steven can and will finally let go of his mother and stop grieving her death, and be able to completely move forward in life. Hopefully, the renovation of his mother's bedroom/shrine is the symbolic tearing down of the guilt wall he had built around himself all these years. I was honestly perturbed when I first found out from a 2009 news that "Steven lives with his older sister and brother-in-law.[...] His father, used to his old residence, does not want to move in. Another room is reserved for his mother. The forest may be still but the winds blow unceasingly in it; the son yearns but the loved one is gone. (子欲养而亲不在) Steven personally chose the original wallpapers for her room and adamantly refuses to have it replaced. That room is off limits to all as it remains forever his mother's."

A separate news report affirms the above info: "though Steven's mother has passed away for almost ten years now, he still keeps her bedroom in its original state; it still has the original mattress and the original bedroom set".

And now I'm truly happy for Steven that he will tear down that shrine of a bedroom imbued with guilt, regrets and sadness, and turn it into a cheerful place of hope, not loss.

Steven covers webcam to prevent spying

Steven attended the premier of a short film "Net Deception" held at the Hong Kong Central Library in Causeway Bay. He told reporter that he would cover all webcams on all his mobile phones and computers with tapes to prevent unwanted spying via hacking. He also cautions people especially women not to upload nude pictures or videos onto their computers or mobile phones to prevent embarrassing leakages on to the net.
