Recently, Steven's health was not in tiptop condition but he still had to fly over to San Francisco, USA, to hold a two-show concert. Both shows were full house and the audiences' responses were fervent. The concert organizer especially arranged for an orchestra of young musicians to accompany Steven's performance, and although this was their first time collaboration there were sparks. The organizer was very satisfied with Steven's performance and had invited him to return for another concert in the US.
Because Steven had agreed to his doctor's "3 abstinence" advice prior, he was permitted to leave Hong Kong for his US concert, the 3 things to abstain from are: alcohol, coffee and intensity. Steven said he was very obedient during his US trip. He said no coffee, no alcohol, that's fine; but to quit being intense that will test his willpower. Because all these years he is very serious and demanding in his work, and because of his intensity people working with him may feel pressured. But since his body has already sent out a warning alarm Steven has to learn to let go. Steven said: "While in America, my footsteps slowed down. My brain did not immediately think of work first thing in the morning when I woke up everyday. In this relax mood, I went jogging or strolling. Slowing down evoked a different kind of feeling. I was also very relax during my shows thus enjoyed myself immensely, so the standard of my singing was even better than before."
Steven will return to the hospital in a few days' time to read the medical reports. He wants to find out the cause for his spiking high blood pressure a few days ago. Last year when he was in Beijing filming a movie he also felt numbness on his head, neck and brain; his fear of stroke stalks him.

A few days ago (Mar 19th) Steven Ma was hospitalized for health problem. After resting for a day he returned to work. Yesterday before departing for San Francisco USA for his two-show concert, this reporter asked Steven if he was worried about flying here and there so soon after his hospitalization. He said:
"I've brought along my meds and will follow the doctor's order to not overexert myself. When I was in the hospital my blood pressure spiked up. But when I was discharged it went down to systolic 96 and diastolic 60, reversely becoming low blood pressure, so when I get back to Hong Kong I need to do another physical examination. I've received many phone calls from friends including Evergreen Mak, Stephen Wong Ka Lok, Yeung Ming, Tavia Yeung, Dexter Yeung, Linda Chung and Fala Chen inquiring about my health. Made me feel very warm indeed. Fala Chen was so naughty, she actually said: "Ah gor, (big brother) don't you work so hard to earn money lah; earn more money, more wealth, weaker health. You can share your earnings with me, I help you spend it." I quipped: "Now I've to work even hard to earn money to pay for my medicines lah!"
When the news of Steven's hospitalization spread, the concert organizer was very concern of his health condition. Steven's doctor had advised him to rest but because of the good faith issue Steven decided to go ahead with his concert.
When asked the cause of his illness Steven said: "The official report is not out yet but my heart's problem is a chronic condition. Also, years ago when filming "Change of Destiny《天機算》my right eye was injured by a horse's head, and shifted my eyeball slightly. So that day when I suddenly felt dizzy and my eyes saw flashing lights, I was worried I had retinal detachment so I immediately went to the hospital. From the doctor's preliminary examination, even though there was no retinal detachment but because of its past injury, right eye's vitreous has signs of atrophy."

Steven Ma has a chronic heart condition and needs to carry his medicine with him at all times for emergency use. Yesterday, he was sighted at the Elizabeth hospital accompanied by a woman. After he was hospitalized he replied this reporter's text messages explaining his health condition. He said he suddenly felt dizzy and that his blood pressure went off the chart so he went to the hospital for a check. And his blood pressure shot up to 180 when the nurse checked it. The doctor hospitalized him for observation.
eta: 3/20/2014 He underwent a battery of tests to diagnose his malaise thus did not get much sleep at all. Despite all the tests taken, the attending doctor could not diagnose the root of his sudden ailment. Because he was still out of sorts and needed rest, Steven canceled his appearance in TVB《勁歌金曲》recording session the next day (3/19). But he confirmed he would attend the scheduled SIAC bus tour promotion on 3/20/2014. Despite his worrisome health condition he will fly off to US on March 21 as planned to hold his scheduled sold out 2-show concert. Only when back from his US concert will he visit his family doctor to get to the root of his malaise.

C= Heard you're going to release a music album soon.
S = Actually I entered the industry as a singer. I've already released 14 albums altogether! Before that I was first a textbook salesman and then a plastic materials salesman. During my spare time I entered all kinds of singing competitions, in all I competed 44 times to finally win the (3rd) Pioneer Championship in 1993, and thru it entered the music industry. This time around, I'll release a hi fi quality cd with 11 songs, 8 of which are Christians songs, and 5 composed and written by me.
C: Does your belief have anything to do with your mom?

S: After all that stuff my family went through, I decided to convert to Christianity five years ago. I was six years old when my mom had cancer. I could not bear it (ng gam sum). I saw her relapsed (3 times); lost her sense of smell, her hearing, her vision, and her ability to eat. One time when having dinner together she suddenly spurted blood. This kind of scene you would think could only happen in films. My mom later passed away in 1999. A year later, my maternal grandmother also spurted blood in from of me, and she, too, passed away later (tn: 2002). That night I even had to shoot a wedding scene. (tn: pitnol) And henceforth, I suffered wide mood swings. Drank from day to night. Could cry only when drunk. (para 3) I myself have this heart abnormality whereby my nodes in the heart can suddenly short-circuit. There was this one time when I played badminton and had forgotten to bring my meds along. I passed out and almost died. 晕喺地、差啲死 But I will not because of this condition limit myself, I'll continue to shoot action scenes and scenes with wire assistance. ref: audio clip link
What Steven dislikes most is to be disturbed when he is working - even girlfriend, doesn't matter - he will not tolerate the distraction. "When working, whether studying the script or writing the lyrics, better don't bother me, if disturb I'll get angry. Whether girlfriend or friend, all should be mutually considerate of each other." Steven says that he is not scared that if married late he won't have the energy to bring up his child. "Because I'm hyper, I don't need much sleep."
Earn Money to Marry Girlfriend
C: You've a chronic health problem and have lost someone, so how come still not ready to start your own family? You've a girlfriend ma! Still the same one in the red wine business, right? How's your relationship with her now?
S: We've an understanding I won't talk too much about us. For now, everything's fine. Definitely want to start my own family plus I love children, but need the right timing.
C: Women have time constraint conceiving a baby.
S: She and I, we share a common goal. Within a year or two we each can accomplish what we set out to accomplish. If all go according to plan, I think we will be very happy.
C: So have a plan already. In other words, you are sure your current girlfriend will be your marriage partner?
S: Either I don't get married at all or if I do, it will definitely be with her. Nowadays, my daily life consists basically of working 365 days, even my time with my girlfriend is limited. During the past 5 or 6 years I've been learning nonstop the behind-the-scene work such as cinematography, script writing, and editing. I hope that one day when I have a family I can make the transition of filming just a series a year, and spend the rest in either directing or script writing thus enabling me to have more control of my time with my daily life.
C: Actually why the wait to get married?
S: Well, I'm not someone who would get married twice, so must plan carefully all details. Right now I live with my family, when I get married the family members will continue to live in the present apartment, I myself will move out to another in the same neighborhood. My personality is such that I will not use a penny from a woman.
C: So, you won't allow your other half to help you with the mortgage?
S: Isn't it more impressive if I can buy the apartment all by myself? I admit my sense of responsibility is extremely strong. For people I love I willingly shoulder all responsibility. When I marry a wife, I would never use her money because during my growing years, my father was the sole breadwinner and my mom did not have to work outside. Even though I have 3 older sisters but since young, I made most of the decisions at home. We have a monthly family get-together, and we now have 14 members in the family, I paid for every meal, the reason being it's a habit. (tn: not only a habit but his wont to pick up the tabs because he has said on a radio interview he'd rather pay than have people paid for him. Hence, why how he paid for all the production wrap-up dinners.) Anyway for people I care about, I'm fine with it.
C: So, girlfriend did not protest?
S: I don't think the person who married me (spouse) can't accept that. She must not be petty with my family members or I'll get mad. (tn: Yaks! Definitely not easy to be Steven's wife. She's not only marrying him but his whole extended family too.) But then again, I treat her family members like they are mine. During her mother's birthday I bought a good quality gold piece for her as present. My whole family has never fought over money. Anyone with financial problem I'd write her a check. (tn: What a brother!)
C: When you have financial problem,would you family members help you out willingly too?
S: I'm fortunate there's no such need because I only would dare to spend $3 out of $10 that I earn.
Anticipation will only lead to Disappointment
C: Last year, you prematurely terminated your contract with TVB, were you very unhappy?
S: Our work ideals were not on the same wavelength. There was stuff I wanted to attempt but the company was against it. After maintaining the status quo for a period of time I finally decided to temporary leave. Although I would miss the company my mood was light.
C: You've won TVB most favorite tv male character awards many times but always don't have the fate with the tv king throne, 有冇唔甘心？
S: Siu la! (Forget it lah!) Honestly, nobody would mind getting crowned. But if I hold out expectations I'll be only disappointed again and again. If you ask me if I want to have an award, of course, but in the end I don't have any. I can't control that. I'm not that angry. If it is my time to have it then I'll get it. If I never get one but the general public think I deserve one, I'll be most happy. Never ever shoot a series in hope of getting an award. If think this way, will be painful!
C: So, currently shooting a tvb series ?
S: Yes, Signed only 1-series-per-year contract. (Tn:Did Steven sign one-series-per-year contract, or did he just sign the contract for just this one series and that's it?) After this series, will return to Beijing to shoot a movie, and later shoot a mainland tv series, and after that will do a series of mini tours. For now, not interested in signing a long term contract.

I first met Steven many years ago. When I first met he was already very polite, "Mui Fung jie" here and "Mui Fung jie" there. He impressed me as a very promising young man and very sincere! To set up this interview I talked to Steven many times over the phone, and every time he was very warm, and also that he means what he says, as well as follow through with his words.
During the interview, maybe because we are both Chew Chou we got along very well. Steven has the special characteristics of Chew Chou men, not the rough and coarse kind of benignant Chew Chou men but a gentle, considerate and refined good man who takes his commitment seriously. I truly believe that Steven will cherish his other half, and I hope they can get married soon. Don't forget to invite at that time!

馬：其實我唱歌入行，我出咗十四隻唱片㗎嘞！我入行前賣教科書同塑膠原料，一有空餘就參加歌唱比賽，前後參加咗44次，到我93年參加先鋒歌唱比賽終於驘咗入行，今次推出有十一隻歌的發燒碟，裏面有八首福音歌，五首係我創作。
周：信仰同媽媽過身有關？
馬：經歷屋企咁多嘅事之後，我5年前決志信基督教，我6歲嗰年媽媽已經患癌，我好唔甘心，睇住佢復發，失去嗅覺、聽覺、視覺，食唔到嘢，有一次食食吓飯，媽媽噴血，呢啲畫面你以為拍戲先有，媽媽最終喺99年過身，一年後，到我外婆，又喺我面前噴血，之後仲過埋身，當晚我仲要拍結婚戲。之後我就有情緒病，每日飲酒飲天光，飲醉就喊，我本身心臟有神經線短路問題，有次打羽毛球，唔記得帶藥，暈喺地、差啲死，但我唔會因為呢個病而限制自己，照拍武打戲、照吊威吔
馬仔最怕工作時被打擾，就算女友一樣冇情講，「做緊嘢，不論睇劇本定寫歌，任何人都最好唔好煩我，打斷我我會嬲，情侶又好、朋友又好，應該互相體諒。」馬仔笑言不怕遲婚將來沒精力陪伴兒女成長，「因為我過度活躍，唔使點瞓。」
賺錢娶女友
周：身體有小毛病，見過生離死別，仲會唔會憧憬組織家庭？你有女朋友㗎嘛！仲係代理紅酒嗰個？同女朋友現時關係點？
馬：我同佢有共識唔講咁多，暫時一切安好，絕對希望組織家庭，亦好鍾意小朋友，但真係要睇時機。
周：女人生仔有時限喎！
馬：我同佢（女友）有共同目標，希望一、兩年內各自完成自己嘅部分，如果一切如願，我諗我哋會好幸福。
周：有晒計劃，換言之，現時女朋友係結婚對象？
馬：我一係唔結婚，如果結，都一定係佢。我依家一年365日每日基本上為工作而生活，就算見女朋友的時間都好少，過去五、六年，我不停學攝影、寫劇本、剪接有關幕後嘅嘢，就係希望將來有一日，有家庭的時候，適當地轉型，一年只拍一套戲，其餘時間做導演、寫劇本，容許生活上多啲時間調動。
周：其實唔結婚仲等咩？
馬：我諗我唔會係有兩次婚姻嘅人，所以要計劃得好仔細，我同屋企人一齊住，第時成家，現居都係留俾屋企人，自己搬出去；最起碼要有一個同住的地方，我嘅性格係唔會使女人一毫子。
周：即係你唔接受另一半一齊供樓？
馬：我買得起唔係威啲咩？我自問責任心好強，我錫嘅人我會願意一力承擔，我要娶老婆，我從來冇諗過佢要用一毫子，因為我由細到大，就係阿爸賺錢，阿媽唔使工作，我雖然有三個家姐，但自細屋企好多嘢已經係我決定，每個月家庭聚會，依家發展到有14個家庭成員，每餐飯，都係我俾錢，原因係我習慣咗，而且只要係我錫嘅人，我真係冇所謂。
周：女朋友有冇投訴？
馬：我唔相信同我結婚嘅人會唔接受，千祈唔好同我屋企人計較，否則我一定反枱！調番轉我對佢屋企人都一樣，佢媽咪生日我照樣買嚿好靚嘅金送禮。我一家人從來未為錢嗌過交，邊個有經濟問題，我就開支票俾佢。
周：你有經濟問題，屋企人係咪都會義不容辭幫忙？
馬：慶幸冇咁嘅需要，因為我賺十蚊只係夠膽用三蚊。
期望只會失望
周：去年提前同無綫解約，係咪好唔開心？
馬：當時工作上理念唔一致，有啲嘢我想試，但公司話唔好，維持咗一段時間，最後我決定暫時離開，離開嘅時候雖然唔捨得，但心情好輕鬆。
周：你攞過多次無綫「最喜愛電視角色」獎，但總係與視帝寶座無緣，有冇唔甘心？
馬：算啦！問心，冇人唔鍾意加冕，如果我抱期望，就只會失望連連，你問我想唔想有獎，想有，但最終冇，是但啦，自己都控制唔到，我冇乜嬲怒，應該係我嘅時候就係我，或者我攞唔到，但觀眾認為我值得攞，我就最開心，千祈唔好為攞獎而拍戲，咁諗，會好痛苦！
周：最近再為無綫拍劇？
馬：係，部頭約簽一部，拍完就再返大陸，先喺北京拍部電影，再拍國內電視劇，之後巡迴幾個地方唱歌，暫時冇諗住再簽長約。

多年前我在某電台初次偶遇馬仔，第一次見佢已經好客氣，「美鳳姐」前、「美鳳姐」後的稱呼我，俾我感覺係有為青年、好信得過！
為約今次訪問，我同馬仔三番四次通電話，每次佢都好親切，更覺佢為人說一不二，兼好有交帶。
訪問傾談中，發現大家都係潮州人，可能因為同聲同氣，特別啱傾。馬仔有潮州男人的特質，但絕非粗獷型潮州怒漢，而係溫文、體貼、細膩、有承擔的好男人，我深信馬仔會好錫佢的另一半，希望佢快啲結婚，到時記得請我飲！

馬浚偉打波心臟病發
馬浚偉日前透露患有心臟神經短路，記者昨日致電求證，他坦言有此病已八年，期間亦曾多次病發，對上一次是三個月前跟朋友打波時，而且剛巧沒有帶藥，他躺在地上嚇親朋友，家人及同事亦知他有此病，馬浚偉說：「其實我每日都有帶藥喺身，依家身邊啲同事都會幫我袋定啲藥，病發時心跳隨時會超過170次，犀利到成個人都會跳。」問到會否有生命危險？他指家庭醫生指心跳到暴斃只有萬分之一機會，所以他不當是甚麼一回事。

S: After all that stuff my family went through, I decided to convert to Christianity five years ago. I was six years old when my mom had cancer. I could not bear it (ng gam sum). What Steven dislikes most is to be disturbed when he is working - even girlfriend, doesn't matter - he will not tolerate the distraction. "When working, whether studying the script or writing the lyrics, better don't bother me, if disturb I'll get angry. Whether girlfriend or friend, all should be mutually considerate of each other." Steven says that he is not scared that if married late he won't have the energy to bring up his child. "Because I'm hyper, I don't need much sleep."
Earn Money to Marry Girlfriend
C: You've a chronic health problem and have lost someone, so how come still not ready to start your own family? You've a girlfriend ma! Still the same one in the red wine business, right? How's your relationship with her now?
S: We've an understanding I won't talk too much about us. For now, everything's fine. Definitely want to start my own family plus I love children, but need the right timing.
C: Women have time constraint conceiving a baby.
S: She and I, we share a common goal. Within a year or two we each can accomplish what we set out to accomplish. If all go according to plan, I think we will be very happy.
C: So have a plan already. In other words, you are sure your current girlfriend will be your marriage partner?
S: Either I don't get married at all or if I do, it will definitely be with her. Nowadays, my daily life consists basically of working 365 days, even my time with my girlfriend is limited. During the past 5 or 6 years I've been learning nonstop the behind-the-scene work such as cinematography, script writing, and editing. I hope that one day when I have a family I can make the transition of filming just a series a year, and spend the rest in either directing or script writing thus enabling me to have more control of my time with my daily life.
C: Actually why the wait to get married?
S: Well, I'm not someone who would get married twice, so must plan carefully all details. Right now I live with my family, when I get married the family members will continue to live in the present apartment, I myself will move out to another in the same neighborhood. My personality is such that I will not use a penny from a woman.
C: So, you won't allow your other half to help you with the mortgage?
S: Isn't it more impressive if I can buy the apartment all by myself? I admit my sense of responsibility is extremely strong. For people I love I willingly shoulder all responsibility. When I marry a wife, I would never use her money because during my growing years, my father was the sole breadwinner and my mom did not have to work outside. Even though I have 3 older sisters but since young, I made most of the decisions at home. We have a monthly family get-together, and we now have 14 members in the family, I paid for every meal, the reason being it's a habit. S: Our work ideals were not on the same wavelength. There was stuff I wanted to attempt but the company was against it. After maintaining the status quo for a period of time I finally decided to temporary leave. Although I would miss the company my mood was light.
C: You've won TVB most favorite tv male character awards many times but always don't have the fate with the tv king throne, 有冇唔甘心？
S: Siu la! (Forget it lah!) Honestly, nobody would mind getting crowned. But if I hold out expectations I'll be only disappointed again and again. If you ask me if I want to have an award, of course, but in the end I don't have any. I can't control that. I'm not that angry. If it is my time to have it then I'll get it. If I never get one but the general public think I deserve one, I'll be most happy. Never ever shoot a series in hope of getting an award. If think this way, will be painful!
C: So, currently shooting a tvb series ?

Steven in Leila Chow's eyes - a promising young man.
I first met Steven many years ago. When I first met he was already very polite, "Mui Fung jie" here and "Mui Fung jie" there. He impressed me as a very promising young man and very sincere! To set up this interview I talked to Steven many times over the phone, and every time he was very warm, and also that he means what he says, as well as follow through with his words.
During the interview, maybe because we are both Chew Chou we got along very well. Steven has the special characteristics of Chew Chou men, not the rough and coarse kind of benignant Chew Chou men but a gentle, considerate and refined good man who takes his commitment seriously. I truly believe that Steven will cherish his other half, and I hope they can get married soon. Don't forget to invite at that time!

周：信仰同媽媽過身有關？
馬：經歷屋企咁多嘅事之後，我5年前決志信基督教，我6歲嗰年媽媽已經患癌，我好唔甘心，睇住佢復發，失去嗅覺、聽覺、視覺，食唔到嘢，有一次食食吓飯，媽媽噴血，呢啲畫面你以為拍戲先有，媽媽最終喺99年過身，一年後，到我外婆，又喺我面前噴血，之後仲過埋身，當晚我仲要拍結婚戲。之後我就有情緒病，每日飲酒飲天光，飲醉就喊，我本身心臟有神經線短路問題，有次打羽毛球，唔記得帶藥，暈喺地、差啲死，但我唔會因為呢個病而限制自己，照拍武打戲、照吊威吔

賺錢娶女友
周：身體有小毛病，見過生離死別，仲會唔會憧憬組織家庭？你有女朋友㗎嘛！仲係代理紅酒嗰個？同女朋友現時關係點？
馬：我同佢有共識唔講咁多，暫時一切安好，絕對希望組織家庭，亦好鍾意小朋友，但真係要睇時機。
周：女人生仔有時限喎！
馬：我同佢（女友）有共同目標，希望一、兩年內各自完成自己嘅部分，如果一切如願，我諗我哋會好幸福。
周：有晒計劃，換言之，現時女朋友係結婚對象？
馬：我一係唔結婚，如果結，都一定係佢。我依家一年365日每日基本上為工作而生活，就算見女朋友的時間都好少，過去五、六年，我不停學攝影、寫劇本、剪接有關幕後嘅嘢，就係希望將來有一日，有家庭的時候，適當地轉型，一年只拍一套戲，其餘時間做導演、寫劇本，容許生活上多啲時間調動。
周：其實唔結婚仲等咩？
馬：我諗我唔會係有兩次婚姻嘅人，所以要計劃得好仔細，我同屋企人一齊住，第時成家，現居都係留俾屋企人，自己搬出去；最起碼要有一個同住的地方，我嘅性格係唔會使女人一毫子。
周：即係你唔接受另一半一齊供樓？
馬：我買得起唔係威啲咩？我自問責任心好強，我錫嘅人我會願意一力承擔，我要娶老婆，我從來冇諗過佢要用一毫子，因為我由細到大，就係阿爸賺錢，阿媽唔使工作，我雖然有三個家姐，但自細屋企好多嘢已經係我決定，每個月家庭聚會，依家發展到有14個家庭成員，每餐飯，都係我俾錢，原因係我習慣咗，而且只要係我錫嘅人，我真係冇所謂。
周：女朋友有冇投訴？
馬：我唔相信同我結婚嘅人會唔接受，千祈唔好同我屋企人計較，否則我一定反枱！調番轉我對佢屋企人都一樣，佢媽咪生日我照樣買嚿好靚嘅金送禮。我一家人從來未為錢嗌過交，邊個有經濟問題，我就開支票俾佢。
周：你有經濟問題，屋企人係咪都會義不容辭幫忙？
馬：慶幸冇咁嘅需要，因為我賺十蚊只係夠膽用三蚊。
期望只會失望
周：去年提前同無綫解約，係咪好唔開心？
馬：當時工作上理念唔一致，有啲嘢我想試，但公司話唔好，維持咗一段時間，最後我決定暫時離開，離開嘅時候雖然唔捨得，但心情好輕鬆。
周：你攞過多次無綫「最喜愛電視角色」獎，但總係與視帝寶座無緣，有冇唔甘心？
馬：算啦！問心，冇人唔鍾意加冕，如果我抱期望，就只會失望連連，你問我想唔想有獎，想有，但最終冇，是但啦，自己都控制唔到，我冇乜嬲怒，應該係我嘅時候就係我，或者我攞唔到，但觀眾認為我值得攞，我就最開心，千祈唔好為攞獎而拍戲，咁諗，會好痛苦！

多年前我在某電台初次偶遇馬仔，第一次見佢已經好客氣，「美鳳姐」前、「美鳳姐」後的稱呼我，俾我感覺係有為青年、好信得過！
為約今次訪問，我同馬仔三番四次通電話，每次佢都好親切，更覺佢為人說一不二，兼好有交帶。
訪問傾談中，發現大家都係潮州人，可能因為同聲同氣，特別啱傾。馬仔有潮州男人的特質，但絕非粗獷型潮州怒漢，而係溫文、體貼、細膩、有承擔的好男人，我深信馬仔會好錫佢的另一半，希望佢快啲結婚，到時記得請我飲！

馬浚偉日前透露患有心臟神經短路，記者昨日致電求證，他坦言有此病已八年，期間亦曾多次病發，對上一次是三個月前跟朋友打波時，而且剛巧沒有帶藥，他躺在地上嚇親朋友，家人及同事亦知他有此病，馬浚偉說：「其實我每日都有帶藥喺身，依家身邊啲同事都會幫我袋定啲藥，病發時心跳隨時會超過170次，犀利到成個人都會跳。」問到會否有生命危險？他指家庭醫生指心跳到暴斃只有萬分之一機會，所以他不當是甚麼一回事。

Steven's heart condition - RTHK

2013: 6 years ago Steven was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition that causes abnormal heart palpitations. A surgery is required to permanently fix the problem but the catch is that to be effective the surgery should only be done when the heart is actually acting up. When asked if the condition can be fatal, Steven was nonchalant about it. He said his family doctor said there is only about 1 out of 10,000 chance that a person can die from an over-active heart, so he was not too concerned over his health condition.*
Actually had the radio host in this May radio interview not brought up his heart condition, Steven would not have talked about it at all. His heart condition was first publicized in 2007 because of his conspicuous absence from the 1st promo event of his then airing tv series, Steps, so tabloid inquiring minds wanted to know why and went digging for info. Their efforts were rewarded with a juicy morsel at their disposal, so naturally they ran amok with sensational headlines such as "Steven Ma May Soon Die of a Strange Disease". (And that's the tamest headline at the time). But Steven later downplayed his heart condition to media, and like all news, this news soon ran its course and long forgotten until it was once again brought up by the radio host during Steven's May interview to promote his new music album. I myself started following Steven's news in mid 2007 so I do know about his problematic heart, but yeah, Steven never mentioned it again since that time in 2007 until now. His heart condition is no secret to the public, but in the May radio interview (footprints) Steven revealed two secrets that he had hitherto never talked about in public.

H: I didn't know that your heart has a problem. When did you find out?
S: I think it's about 5 or 6 years ago. At the time I thought it was just heart arrhythmia. But one night, (it's quite scary) suddenly my heart beat extremely fast, never mind fast but that my heart actually jolted
H: That bad?
S: The force made me dizzy. Truly scary. So immediately I was sent to the hospital. I was at home then. So in the hospital I was examined but the doctor could not find anything wrong with me. But then I began encountering similar occurrences thereafter. Sei lo, truly scary, am I going to die soon? So I underwent a lot of testing, also hospitalized for observation, EKG testing, other medical examinations and everything else possible. Finally the specialist told me that my heart has 2 nodes 'shortcut' (short-circuit). Either surgically cauterized one of the nodes' end, but (so funny) the cauterization can only be done when the the heart problem is happening - only then can he see through a scope which node is malfunctioning. I said isn't that very complicated? I asked: "Is it possible that the wrong node be cauterized?" He said yes, it's possible. I said: "So if the wrong node is cauterized, will I become 'sai ging' (insane) then? (wordplay on sai ging sing - node) Doctor said "you won't but it won't solve your problem." So I asked if I can die from it? He said if it truly palpitated too extremely you can pass out. My family doctor told me the ratio is 1 to 10,000 that people can die from it. Oh, cheh, that's pretty low. Actually, I don't fear death per se because death is a certainty in life, just that after death I go on to heavenly home, that's all. The question is in your living years, did you live a good life? As to this heart problem, I'm fine with it - just take my meds with me. So my close colleagues or close friends, they are aware of my medicines - 2 kinds. One is the heart medicine; the other to be taken to immediately slow down my heart rate because a rapid heart rate can make me dizzy and pass out, and who knows where I would fall onto. That's the concern there. They all advise me not to play badminton too vigorously. Because last month on the badminton court, while playing I suddenly collapsed onto the floor. And my heart was racing but what made it worse is that I forgot to bring my medicine that day. So scary! Almost call the police. But luckily I was very calm
H: So did Loletta Chu Ling Ling help you? (tn: Ms. Chu is also an avid badminton player.)
S: She wasn't there that day. Haha! But all my badminton friends were there and also my manager, too. They didn't know what to do. What's wrong? What's wrong? So now they know where to quickly get hold of my medicine. But I enjoy playing badminton, of course, don't overdo it. But if when I'm playing badminton, or singing or filming, and plop, I suddenly passed away, there's nothing I could do about it. I'm pragmatic about it but I would not let that mess up my life. I won't play roller coasters (tn:like how he had to in the Brink of Law promo event - lol) or willfully engage in thrilling but dangerous activities just to challenge my life. But if God wants me to leave then I'll leave. I'm not scared. If you're scared of death everyday, then you've never lived. I believe I still have a long period of time to experience new thing in life like last year I..

*There are different types of supraventricular-tachycardia heart problems, not exactly sure which one is Steven's. Based on description, my guess is this: Atrioventricular reciprocating tachycardia.
"Normally, the AV node is the only tissue that conducts electrical impulses between the upper and lower chambers of the heart. All electrical impulses must go through the AV node to reach the lower chambers of the heart. In an (atrioventricular reciprocating tachycardia), electrical impulses travel one direction in the normal manner, down the AV node to the lower chambers (ventricles), but they then travel back up to the upper chambers (atria) through an abnormal, extra electrical pathway (accessory pathway) located outside the AV node."

2) first major series - Hong Hei of Domd1998 - author Jin Yong commended he was the best Hong Hei. Steven forever grateful to Catherine Tsang and Li Tim Shing for pushing him to take up this role, and their belief in him that he could do it.
3) For the first time Steven revealed the deep seated secret festering in his heart that he had hastened his mother's death when his mother gave in to his plea to have the fatal surgery that took her life in the end. Although she finally agreed to the surgery she wasn't at first and communicated her anger in written words to Steven. The memory of that scene still made Steven choke up with emotion when he spoke of it. (7:55 ) Mom wrote: "I don't want to do it. Are you pushing me to my death? Do you want me to die? I don't want to do it!" Her words cut right into Steven's heart, that wound never healed. At reading his mom's written accusation, Steven instantly collapsed in loud sobs, and his mom's heart melted at seeing her son's heartbreaking collapse, (she had lost her hearing by then so could not hear Steven's sobs) and so in the end she agreed to the surgery. And though the surgery itself was successful, she succumbed to post-surgery pneumonia and died of it a few hours later. Worse, Steven and his sisters weren't there when their mother passed away as they went home to take a much needed rest after a long day at the hospital (doctors had assured them their mother's surgery was successful), only his father was there beside her when she passed away. (see my comments below) When narrating his mom's cancer and her death, Steven's voice sounded hoarse and shaky with emotion. He had to break off his narration several times to compose himself. Even the hostess quietly cried with him. After his mother's death Steven did not cry, and could only cry when he was drunk and so he locked himself inside his bedroom and got roaring drunk to release his tears. But he did that all behind close door since he had to be strong for his grieving family. After his mother's death, his grandma died a few year later, and a few years later in 2003, his younger sister was diagnosed with breast cancer, but luckily she is now in remission.
4) After 5 years striving starting from ground negative to ground zero in Domd1998, his career finally made it above ground with his role as Dr. Joe in HH1. (TN: Incidentally it was because of Steven's Dr. Joe that I first noticed him - thought he was sooo cute!)
5) Revealed the secret for the first time publicly why he came back to TVB on a per series contract with TVB. (eta: confirmed in other interviews that he only signed that one contract with TVB for SIAC only, that's it) Besides repaying his gratitude debt to Catherine Tsang and TVB, the main reason is because he had given his word to TVB executives (Tsang and Chan Fai Gong (Uncle 6's secretary then) at the time of his early termination negotiation with them that he would sign a different form of collaboration with TVB. The management wanted Steven to sign another form of contract collaboration at the time but Steven was too busy then filming in mainland, so he told them he would but not then because he just did not have the time. But he assured them he would come back at a more convenient time to discuss with them about signing a different form of contractual collaboration.

To Steven, his spoken word of promise is just as binding as any legal b&w contract. In February 2012, I think, TVB (Catherine and another TVB high executive) tried to persuade him to film a tvb series in September but he could not due to schedule conflict but he kept his word by filming PP.
Steven - a man of his words. I gather from this interview and other news reports Steven has only signed this one series contract, that's it. Just like how I'd previously conjectured on why Steven got off 'easy' for his unprecedented premature termination of his contract - because TVB had exacted from him a promise at the time to sign a different TVB contract. And Steven gave his word he would but and so he did, cos a man of his words, his promise is as ironclad as a written contract. TVB had looked him up in February but he was still busy filming then.
6) Love life
Love life is doing fine. Vivien is a very independent woman with a quiet personality. Steven and her understand each other very well but he has promised her not to talk about their love life to the public so a pretty short segment here. But what's interesting is that when the hostess brought up the old news that reportedly Steven had planned his wedding to Vivien without even telling her parents, Steven denied he had ever said that -- that the reporter made that news up.
7) 5-6 years ago Steven was diagnosed with a heart disease that causes abnormal heart palpitations. A surgery is required to permanently fix the problem but the catch is the surgery can only be performed when the heart is acting up. When asked if the disease can be fatal, Steven was nonchalant about it. He said his family doctor said that there is only about 1 out of 10,000 chance that a person can die from hyper heartbeat, so he was not too concerned over his health condition. read link
8) Want to make a movie inspired by his mother's life
Steven has already completed the script inspired by his mother's story. If all goes according to plans, he would probably have it shot next year as he has already have a sponsor lined up to produce it but he would not be in the cast cos' it would be too painful for him.

Besides two hitherto unrevealed secrets now exposed, Steven is basically rehashing what had been published about him on the newspapers from his early career as a singer, his first major series as Hong Hei in Domd1998 and his career changing role as Dr. Joe in HH1, to his mother's cancer and her death, to TVB work and his early termination of contract to love life, to tvb awards to tvb's present situation to lots more. But I already know most of what he said through print reports, audio and video interviews, so no surprises there for me except for his insight in TVB's present situation. But what caught me off guard is how emotional Steven was talking about his mother's death. How he still carries the irrational guilt over that ill-advised and ill-fated surgery that hastened his mother's death, how the scene of their last exchange (written) constantly replayed itself in his mind - haunting him through the years, and how his mother's written accusation of him pushing her to her death still cut him to the core. (ngo mg wui zou, ni hai mai yu ong ngo hui sei ya? - I won't do it, you want to push me to my death?) Time has not erased that guilt, that written accusation; only faded them somewhat, but there it lodges forever in Steven's heart and mind, easily re-ignited - what a burden to carry around. The psychological trauma of losing his mother so unexpectedly, his remorse and guilt over his advice to his mom to take the surgery forever changed Steven's psych and his life outlook.
I feel that Steven is forever trying to atone for that very moment when his uncontrollable and bitter sobs made his dying mother change her mind to finally agree to the ill-fated surgery. His mother's death is a cross Steven carries to this day on his back, its intangible weight heavy on his conscience, hopefully one day Steven can totally discard that guilt and drop that heavy cross. Guess his 'selfish' desire of wanting his mother to take the surgery despite her pain and suffering somewhat attributed to Steven's own tolerance and forgiving nature towards other people's frailties and flaws, for who amongst us do not err in our lifetime. To these days, Steven is still making amends to atone for his 'transgression' towards his mother's death. It was not his fault but often it is heart over mind. Glad that Steven has found spiritual strength and peace with his faith in God.
And good for him, Steven has Vivien to support and love him as he is cos' from what I gather, Steven is quite a moody bf. Moreover, Vivien has to know this, and most probably does: she can never get the full, complete love from Steven cos' he has already given a part of it to his late mom, so she has to be content with whatever Steven can give of his heart. Like I said: Take Steven as he is - warts and all, and 2nd place in his heart after his late mom. Before Vivien, there was Tsui Yong Yong, Steven's ex-manager to comfort him. God bless him, them and us all!
In part2 last segment on TVB, Steven is once again downplaying his talents and accomplishments; modesty/humility is a virtue but if excessive, it can hold back an artist from realizing his potential to achieve a greater height in his career. I always feel that Steven is too humble, too passive and not exertive enough in his career. I recall this weibo entry from an (ex?) long time fan who said this on weibo: Steven lacks the 霸气 (the aggressiveness) that's why he can only be a celebrity not a superstar. Without that aggressiveness - acting is his career but he cannot make it (career) into a superstar business. (sounds like Cao Zhi). Tn: Steven's lack of aggressive spirit, plus his overly humility and his selling short his talents and accomplishments, collectively hinders him from realizing his full potential as an artist, a loss to his fans. But whatever floats his boat - it's his life. But imo as his fan, what a shame to his god given talents being under-appreciated. Moreover, as an outsider, I don't understand his loyalty to TVB despite their past maltreatments; there is such thing as blind loyalty. 過去每逢入秋氣管就會過敏，咳嗽加氣管癢是必然的。一直相信是因自己一出生就是敏感體質，以為吃藥多運動就好，結果上星期因呼吸不順去看醫生，才知得了敏感性哮喘，以後除了要把哮喘藥帶在身，醫生更要我多游泳！我想告訴大家，身體過敏帶來的毛病千萬別小看，原來隨時可以沒命，大家真的要注意健康！

新浪娱乐讯 马浚伟昨天被指患上罕有心脏怪病，要做手术才能保命，他亲自解释：“没有这么恐怖，只是心脏‘搭错线’！”
昨天马浚伟接受记者电话访问，承认心脏出现问题，两个月前在家中突然心跳加速得很厉害，还差点晕倒，立即入急症室求诊。最初他以为只是心律不 齐，经详细检查后才发现是“心脏神经线短路”。当两条神经线“搭上”时，心跳立即加速。虽然服药可控制病情，但接受手术可彻底治疗，目前他还在考虑中： “其实只是做微创手术，风险不大，但最少休息十天，实在没有这么多时间。”
继续打球跳舞
马浚伟自言乐观面对此病，希望不要误会他患重病：“这个病虽然不是很常见，但我有些朋友都有这个病，给了我不少意见。其实我只是有点搭上，不是真正的搭错线，所以大家不要这么担心，我依然很能熬，还会继续打球、跳舞！”

昨天马浚伟接受记者电话访问，承认心脏出现问题，两个月前在家中突然心跳加速得很厉害，还差点晕倒，立即入急症室求诊。最初他以为只是心律不齐，经详细检查后才发现是“心脏神经线短路”。当两条神经线“搭上”时，心跳立即加速。虽然服药可控制病情，但接受手术可彻底治疗，目前他还在考虑中：“其实只是做微创手术，风险不大，但最少休息十天，实在没有这么多时间。”
继续打球跳舞
马浚伟自言乐观面对此病，希望不要误会他患重病：“这个病虽然不是很常见，但我有些朋友都有这个病，给了我不少意见。其实我只是有点搭上，不是真正的搭错线，所以大家不要这么担心，我依然很能熬，还会继续打球、跳舞！”

馬浚偉與經理人日前搭船過澳門登台。入閘前記者上前問他患心臟怪病一事，一臉病容的他反問記者為何會知情，後來他承認現時會帶藥傍身。
（香港訊）劇集《舞動全城》在香港收視不錯，但男主角馬浚偉（馬仔）卻鮮少參與宣傳，不像女主角廖碧兒頻頻曝光。
馬仔不見蹤影，原來是因為患上罕有的心臟怪病─心臟旁導管症（心跳會突然急劇加速，令整個人如觸電般），試過突然在家暈倒不省人事。雖然之後長期吃藥，但現時仍然兩天暈一次。由於身上背著這個計時炸彈，馬仔早前不得不推掉去湖南錄影的大製作《舞動奇跡》，長留在家休養。
據悉，馬浚偉1999年母親過身後，因壓力過大，患上心律不正。據知情人士表示，“他因為心律不正，時常看醫生。但他說不嚴重，所以沒有做全面檢查。”直到去年年底拍《舞動全城》，馬浚偉試過突然失場，原來他不止一次在家暈倒，後來正式做檢查，才知道是心臟旁導管病。”
馬浚偉病情愈來愈嚴重，今年拍攝劇集《秀才愛上兵》及《金石良緣》期間，都因為體力不支而頻頻告假，亦需要隨身帶備藥物。知情人士說，“他要長期吃藥，但仍不能完全控制病情，隨時都會病發，所以他和相熟工作人員講定，如果突然暈倒話，就幫忙拿藥給他。”
另外，無線大型節目《舞動奇跡》本來亦安排他參加，順道配合劇集《舞動全城》宣傳，但恐怕應付不了長時間的訓練及去湖南的連日拍攝，馬浚偉最後只好向高層樂易玲請辭，位置由謝天華頂上。
由於工作不能太操勞，故馬仔近月曝光率驟減。記者日前趁他到上環準備搭船去澳門登台，問他有關心臟旁導管一事，他一臉愕然說：“你怎會知道？（是不是準備做手術？）就算做都是小手術，別嚇到關心我的人。每個人身體都可能有突發性情況，我的病暫時藥物控制到。”

Steven Ma has cancer? Don't scare me!
Steven has been visiting the hospital quite often, because earlier of Steven's sickness has came back again, also because Steven has been constantly having bloody nose with no good reason at all, adding on with his family's sickness. Steven worries that he may get this particular sickness because of genetic reasons, without telling his family and friends secretly visiting the hospital to have a body check. The result came out and there was nothing wrong, Steven took a deep breath and was just a little scared before the results that had came out.
Praying for an understanding
Earlier, the editors spotted Steven once again appeared at the hospital, due to earlier he went to the hospital and had a checkup and looked at the result, on the 29th of June he went to the hospital secretly to have a check up on the particular sickness, due to Steven often would have blood nose and his right hand has no sense, he told the doctor all the things that has been happening with his body to pray for an understanding, he checked his chest, waist with X Rays and had a few blood tests as a body check up.
When the result came out, there was nothing wrong with Steven, it was just his nose, it's because he blows his nose very hard, doctors says not to blow his nose very hard. Also, it was pointed out that his right hand had no sense, all he needs to do is more checkups and his right hand will get better very soon.
Steven doesn't want people outside to think he has a sickness, because of having a check up at the hospital, the editors told him to say a few words about the good news, he said "I am very happy, at least I know there is nothing wrong with me. Funny thing is the doctor, his waist is not very straight while my waist is straight, says I am very stubborn, I agree I am stubborn!"

今 周 大 结 局 的 剧 集 《 舞 动 全 城 》 ， 男 主 角 马 浚 伟 ( 马 仔 ) 喺 剧 中 经 常 同 拍 档 廖 碧 儿 大 跳 拉 丁 舞 ， 活 力 十 足 。 套 剧 收 得 ， 但 马 仔 反 而 冇 乜 做 宣 传 ， 唔 似 得 女 主 角 廖 碧 儿 频 频 曝 光 。

对 於 患 上 心 脏 旁 导 管 症 ， 心 脏 科 医 生 李 沛 然 表 示 ： 「 病 人 天 生 心 脏 旁 多 咗 一 条 旁 导 管 ， 俗 称 多 咗 条 电 线 ， 所 以 令 心 脏 出 现 短 路 情 况 ， 一 般 嚟 讲 大 部 份 病 患 者 会 心 跳 加 速 ， 最 高 可 以 每 分 钟 心 跳 150-200 下 ， 严 重 嘅 话 亦 会 休 克 ， 甚 至 死 亡 。 我 强 烈 建 议 病 人 做 放 射 频 率 能 量 导 管 消 融 手 术 ， 将 多 咗 嗰 条 旁 导 管 切 除 。 」
本 周 三 晚 （ 10 月 3 日 ） ， 马 浚 伟 与 经 理 人 搭 船 过 澳 门 登 台 。 入 闸 前 记 者 上 前 问 他 患 心 脏 怪 病 一 事 ， 一 脸 病 容 的 他 反 问 记 者 为 何 会 知 情 ， 後 来 他 承 认 现 时 会 带 药 傍 身 。
当 子 珊 得 悉 马 仔 有 怪 病 缠 身 ， 表 现 得 一 脸 惊 讶 。

马浚伟容易受伤
无綫有两个男福将，逢剧必收，一个系欧阳震华，另一个就系马浚伟。
不过，成功非侥幸。好似马仔咁，嗰日嘅宣传活动上，男女分组斗做高难度瑜伽，马仔一个拗手跷脚高难度动作，就赢得全场掌声，肯定佢事前做足预备工夫。
大事做足工夫，小事佢都照顾周到。当日所见，众人除鞋做瑜伽时，马仔率先好豪气咁连袜都除埋，咁大方，原来佢对脚十分整洁，就算右脚中趾损咗，都好整齐咁贴咗块药水胶布。
谂番起旧年佢做台庆宣传，咁跷伤咗只右眼，包到冚出席活动。出嚟做宣传都经常受伤，睇嚟斯斯文文嘅马仔真系容易受伤的男人。
去年台庆，马仔亦咁啱右眼受伤，成只眼包到冚，另类抢镜。
马仔做得出呢个高难度动作，肯定下咗唔少苦功。成只脚掌整洁度亦攞足100分，贴胶布都整齐过人。

今 周 大 结 局 的 剧 集 《 舞 动 全 城 》 ， 男 主 角 马 浚 伟 ( 马 仔 ) 喺 剧 中 经 常 同 拍 档 廖 碧 儿 大 跳 拉 丁 舞 ， 活 力 十 足 。 套 剧 收 得 ， 但 马 仔 反 而 冇 乜 做 宣 传 ， 唔 似 得 女 主 角 廖 碧 儿 频 频 曝 光 。
马 仔 唔 见 影 ， 原 来 系 因 为 患 上 罕 有 的 心 脏 怪 病 ─ 心 脏 旁 导 管 症 （ 心 跳 会 突 然 急 剧 加 速 ， 令 整 个 人 如 触 电 般 ） ， 试 过 突 然 在 家 晕 倒 不 省 人 事 。 虽 然 之 後 长 期 食 药 ， 但 现 时 仍 然 两 日 晕 一 次 。 由 於 身 上 佗 住 个 计 时 炸 弹 ， 马 仔 早 前 不 得 不 推 掉 去 湖 南 录 影 的 大 制 作 《 舞 动 奇 迹 》 ， 长 留 在 家 休 养 。
据 知 ， 马 仔 将 须 做 手 术 保 命 。
这 晚 ， 马 浚 伟 到 澳 门 连 走 两 场 骚 ， 先 去 金 沙 酒 店 （ 左 图 ） 再 去 威 尼 斯 人 酒 店 ， 拍 档 是 跳 得 之 人 徐 子 珊 。 为 免 太 劳 累 ， 马 仔 只 与 子 珊 合 跳 了 一 part 舞 ， 其 余 时 间 各 自 唱 了 几 首 歌 。
马 浚 伟 99 年 母 亲 过 身 後 ， 因 压 力 过 大 ， 患 上 心 律 不 正 。 据 知 情 人 士 表 示 ， 「 佢 嗰 时 睇 医 生 ， 就 话 因 为 心 律 不 正 ， 所 以 引 发 惊 恐 症 。 佢 话 问 题 唔 严 重 ， 所 以 冇 做 全 面 检 查 。 」 直 到 去 年 年 底 拍 《 舞 动 全 城 》 ， 马 浚 伟 试 过 突 然 失 场 ， 原 来 他 不 止 一 次 在 家 晕 倒 ， 「 当 时 唔 系 好 多 人 知 ， 佢 净 系 同 咗 监 制 （ 梁 材 远 ） 讲 ， 因 为 佢 都 唔 知 自 己 咩 事 ， 後 尾 正 式 做 检 查 ， 先 知 心 脏 旁 导 管 嘅 病 系 咁 严 重 。 」 知 情 人 士 说 。
靠 药 物 急 救
马 浚 伟 病 情 愈 来 愈 严 重 ， 今 年 拍 摄 剧 集 《 秀 才 爱 上 兵 》 及 《 金 石 良 缘 》 期 间 ， 都 因 为 体 力 不 支 而 频 频 告 假 ， 亦 需 要 随 身 带 备 药 物 。 知 情 人 士 说 ， 「 佢 要 长 期 食 药 ， 但 唔 可 以 完 全 控 制 病 情 ， 随 时 都 会 病 发 ， 所 以 佢 同 相 熟 嘅 工 作 人 员 讲 定 ， 如 果 突 然 晕 倒 嘅 话 ， 就 攞 药 俾 佢 食 。 」
因 为 心 跳 随 时 加 速 及 晕 倒 ， 马 浚 伟 要 经 常 留 意 身 体 状 况 ， 一 向 好 杯 中 物 的 他 更 决 心 戒 酒 。 由 於 工 作 不 能 太 操 劳 ， 故 近 月 曝 光 率 骤 减 。 本 周 三 （ 10 月 3 日 ） 5 时 许 ， 马 浚 伟 到 上 环 准 备 搭 船 去 澳 门 登 台 ， 记 者 问 他 有 关 心 脏 旁 导 管 一 事 ， 他 一 脸 愕 然 说 ： 「 吓 ！ 你 点 知 o架 ？ （ 系 咪 准 备 做 手 术 ？ ） 就 算 做 都 系 小 手 术 ， 唔 好 吓 亲 关 心 我 嘅 人 。 每 个 人 身 体 都 可 能 有 突 发 性 情 况 ， 我 个 病 暂 时 药 物 控 制 到 。 」
替 身 代 跑
由 於 马 浚 伟 在 剧 集 《 金 石 良 缘 》 中 经 常 有 跑 马 拉 松 的 戏 份 ， 监 制 梁 材 远 为 免 他 身 体 负 荷 不 到 ， 大 部 份 跑 步 戏 都 为 他 安 排 替 身 代 劳 。 梁 材 远 说 ： 「 有 日 开 工 前 马 仔 突 然 入 咗 医 院 ， 事 後 知 道 佢 心 脏 有 事 ， 直 至 医 生 批 准 ， 我 先 叫 佢 复 工 。 我 担 心 佢 身 体 冇 咁 快 恢 复 ， 剧 中 佢 演 马 拉 松 选 手 ， 虽 然 跑 得 慢 ， 但 始 终 有 风 险 ， 所 以 帮 佢 搵 定 替 身 。 」 另 外 ， 无 綫 大 型 节 目 《 舞 动 奇 迹 》 本 来 亦 安 排 他 参 加 ， 顺 道 配 合 剧 集 《 舞 动 全 城 》 宣 传 ， 但 恐 怕 应 付 不 了 长 时 间 的 训 练 及 去 湖 南 的 连 日 拍 摄 ， 马 浚 伟 最 後 只 好 向 高 层 乐 易 玲 请 辞 ， 他 的 位 置 由 谢 天 华 顶 上 。
在 《 舞 动 全 城 》 饰 演 马 浚 伟 妹 妹 的 陈 法 拉 ， 日 前 接 受 访 问 时 亦 表 示 ， 「 嗰 时 都 有 听 佢 （ 马 浚 伟 ） 讲 过 心 脏 有 毛 病 ， 但 系 唔 知 详 情 ， 亦 都 唔 知 咁 严 重 ， 希 望 佢 快 啲 好 番 。 」
至 於 跟 马 浚 伟 合 作 《 秀 才 爱 上 兵 》 的 黎 耀 祥 ， 亦 知 道 对 方 心 脏 出 问 题 ， 「 我 都 听 讲 佢 有 心 律 不 正 ， 仲 要 成 日 度 期 去 做 检 查 ， 希 望 佢 身 体 健 康 ！ 」
