Last fan group visit in Hengdian 6/16/2012

Waoh, such speed! Just yesterday Steven weibo about scheduling fan visit with his assistant and the fan group visit happened instantly, almost.  Many fans were unhappy about their being left out from this secretively/privately arranged fan group visit.  I can understand both views, on one side the visit was obviously hastily arranged because Steven is wrapping up his work in Hengdian, his Tang Ting Xuan scenes are done not sure about his Lai Fu's, so time is of essence getting the group visit ready. And even then the group was of a good size.

On the other hand, irate left out fans after having missed the other earlier group visits are naturally bummed out to have missed the very last one in Hengdian as the next series will be filmed in Shenzhen, far away from Hengdian.

please schedule your visit

Little piggies, remember before coming to visit must first contact xiao jiao @刘凤娇VS小乔 because she knows my work schedule and also knows if the situation is suitable for group visit. Your feelings I understand but you girls traveling alone, and from so far away have me worry. So remember be good (guai) .  Even more so, be careful and be alert.  V

Haha! Steven feels pressured because lately everybody who has seen him recently, whether in person or his uploaded pix or videos, all asked him or commented online why he has gotten so thin lately.  As protest, he uploaded a pix to show off his biceps on his muscular left arm.

A few days ago, Yuan Yang Pei 《鸳鸯配》troupe made an appearance in Shanghai TV Festival. The main leads Steven Ma and Zhang Meng et al  in accepted this reporter's interview.

In Yuan Yang Pei, Steven Ma portrays a pair of twin brothers, one simple-minded the other cool, and both brothers separately have an entangled love relationship with the female character portrayed by the leading lady, Zhang Mei. During the interview, Steven smiled and said that his own love relationship is still on shaky ground: "earlier separated with ex-girlfriend, currently still 空窗期". In the midst of their interview, YYP cast is distracted by a noise on the transparent glass wall. Off camera shot, Lai Fu's mom is knocking on the wall to catch Steven's notice. Steven waves at her to acknowledge her presence, and explains to the hostess that she is his biological screen mom. So as a courtesy, the hostess invites her to come inside the room. And Steven leaves to get her.  And..action speaks louder than words... watch the video yourself. The woman in green is Tang Ting Xuan's onscreen step-mother, the young lady loves Huang Shao Qi but ends up marrying Tang Ting Xuan because she got pregnant from their drunken one night stand. Neither men loves her, both loves Yong En but she loves Lai Fu.

Many stars have remarked how they love being artists but loathe the celebrity that comes with it because of loss of privacy and being a good role model to the public with their  conduct. Add to that, 'responsible' for other people's happiness.  Reading and observing how very happy fans are at seeing Steven in person and  being in his presence bring home that 'burden' to me.  Luckily Steven enjoys bringing happiness to other people, and truly likes people in general.

Steven is going home to Hong Kong today, stay a while, then onto Shanghai to attend Shanghai Television Festival on 6/12. There he will have a change to get together with his ex-tvb colleagues including Charmaine Sheh, Bobby Au-Yeung , Ada Choi, Lau Ka Ho, Miu Siu Ching, Kevin Cheng, Ada Choi, Bosco Wong. etc  After the festival he will fly back to Hengdian to wrap up his scenes which are especially expedited for him.  Then sometimes in August he will start a new tv series in Shenzhen.  Apparently with a very well-known mainland tv fadan, mysteriously for now.  In interim between series, don't know Steven's schedule as yet.

Recall an old topic, "How to let myself live a happier life?", on which I have earlier on weibo shared a bit of my insight.  Recently while chatting with a friend, I sensed that friend's mood was easily influenced, so allow me to hereby replay an old tune!

"Nothing to be unhappy about, so that means happy!" has always been my mantra.  So, where did the unhappiness come from? Came from my own self-demands? Came from my giving of self? If given wholeheartedly then theoretically should not be unhappy, but if behind these givings lies a heart imbued solely with great anticipation of repayment or of others' gratitude or approbation, then disappointment will emerge at any time, and a big dose of unhappiness will follow suit.

I am not God or a saint that I would do everything just for the sake of cultivating and not expect rewards, I can't do that! But there is one thing that I can definitely able to do, which is to give it my all and enjoy the process.  Outcome? No expectation or anticipation because that is beyond my control scope, so in view of that, why fret?

Friends, hope this will bring some easing to you, after all, this is my personal experience, even if it is not completely correct, at least it can't be wrong.

5/6/2012 21:39 In the blink of an eye,  there are now less than 20 scenes left in Yuan Yang Pei to shoot, and this means an imminent wrap-up.  Am grateful to have encountered such an excellent script and roles; grateful to have encountered those I meet up daily, you know who you are. Beginning to feel the unwillingness to leave. Will miss you all, truly. You all know that.

His face has this enigmatic look, like what was he thinking behind that little smile, that stare of one big one small eyes, and cool composure? A male mona lisa portrait? 
 

I have always preferred Steven's manly looks instead of posing cutsy in his pictures, so incongruous with a 40 year old man image.

Fan visit on Yuan Yang Pei, Hengdian 5/27 day 2

May 27 2012 Day 2.

Only 13 fans remain at Hengdian for day 2 fan visit. Having presented their gifts to Steven on the first day, the remaining brought another gift to present to Steven. They had already thought of this gift the first day but because of time constraint and the wet blanket rain, they decided not to. But today with today's bright, beautiful sunshine and lots of time to spare, they finally bought the watermelon, 4 of them actually.

They took a long time to finally find the place that Xiao Qiao told them.  When vik甄  presents the watermelons to Steven, he and crew members all laugh uproariously. Why 4 watermelons? Well, because Steven is the 4th Brother, of course. (make sense? right?) vik甄 and  浚家小龍龍, (a SM fan Hengdian employee) holding the watermelons go inside Steven's resting area. Director Wong is there so Steven introduces them to him.  After that Steven has to shoot a scene so the fans stay back to watch the filming from the sideline.  The scene is about Tang Ting Xuan and his mother being viciously pursued by bad people. There Steven was in his 3-piece suit having to repetitively carrying his 'mom' on his back and running down the lanes not once but several times before the actual take went through. And that was only one take of the scene that consists of several other takes, never mind the ngs takes in between.   The fans see first hand just how tedious and arduous filming is and their hearts go out to Steven seeing his drenched outer vest - can only imagine his drenched dress shirt, while copious sweat run relentlessly down his head.(re below pix)

Fan visit on Yuan Yang Pei, Hengdian 5/26 day 1

Talk about spontaneity and expediency, the fan group visit on 5/26-5/27 to visit Steven on Yuan Yang Pei filming set in Hengdian was set up on a spur of the moment spearheaded by Steven-ma.org and sm baidu.  On May 20, (designated by mainland netizens as 520-I luv you day) on weibo if searched under Steven's name 馬浚偉 was heavily loaded with Steven's pix overtly or stealthily taken by Hengdian tourists during their visit there,  some of which much to their delight, Steven reposted on his weibo to celebrate his own weibo Piggy Family Day.  So enticed by such joyous SM sighting happenstance, steven-ma.org weibo on behalf of the piggies fired up with anticipation, asked Steven if they could visit him at Hengdian, to which 20 minutes or so later Steven replied thus:

The novel, "When Love Becomes the Past"  《当爱已成往事》has once set off a craze online, and presently, the filming of the tv series adaptation of the said classic novel "Yuan Yang Pei" 《鸳 鸯佩》is underway in full swing at Hengdian.  The investment for Yuan Yang Pei reaches 30 million yuan; it's a joint-venture among Beijing Jetsen Times and Culture Media Ltd.
